I bought this as a supplement to my video setup, hoping I'd be able to connect my PC or other HD devices to analog displays.The micro USB port which provides the unit power was deeply sunk into the case, meaning only the included cable could even possibly reach it. Said included cable is very short, which made testing the device without properly setting it up with my other equipment difficult.Upon hooking up my PC's HDMI output to the device's HDMI input, and powering it on, the PC wouldn't even recognize that a new display had been connected, and all I could get on my display were some occasional glitchy frames.Looking at some more of the reviews, it seems like this company seems to not even keep track of whether this is supposed to convert HDMI to YPbPr or the other way around. If my unit actually does the opposite, that would explain why I wasn't able to get anything out of it, and why my PC didn't detect a new display (something it can usually do with 1080p or lower resolution devices even when they're not receiving power).However, not only did the store page say it was an HDMI to YPbPr converter, but so did the device itself. The HDMI port is labelled as an input, and the embedded male RCA connectors are labelled as an output.I already have a device which serves this purpose (and does a far better job than a device at this price point could possibly do for my use case). If I had just received the wrong product, but it worked as described on the packaging, instructions, and device itself, that's all I would've complained about.Even if this device seems like something you need, look for another one. Buying this product is more or less like buying a more expensive lottery ticket.
