I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE OF THE PLASTIC OUTLET ON THE BACK OF THE OLD INTAKE. THIS IS A BAD FORD PRODUCT. YOU MIGHT THINK AFTER MARKET WILL MAKE IT OUT OF METAL SO IT LASTS LONGER.

Fits my 2003 Town Car with the Original Equipment alternator bracket. Use the included inline screws to secure the coils. In case anyone is interested, the intake manifold bolt torque is 18 ft/lbs, a mid-to-finish sequence.

Minimal mechanical skills and a torque wrench for installation. If you have a Ford with an original intake, replace it with an updated one for your own good. Ford's original design is ridiculous. It doesn't fix bad engineering, but it does fix the rubber gasket problem, the plastic gasket problem, and the head gasket problem.

Not installed yet but I have to say I'm concerned this thing might damage my engine. Terrible inside! Full of potentially loose plastic waste that could potentially break and end up in my incinerator. I don't know what else to say. Manufacturers should have a deburring station... or something like that. In the last photo, the original intake manifold for comparison, note the smooth edges. With this product, the turbulence of the air entering the engine will be much worse.
