Perfect replacement for stock

It was an easy fix for a fogged up camera on my 2015 RAM 1500. I recommend you do it yourself rather than paying a dealer. That's easy.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

This camera was an exact replacement for the original.

This camera was an exact replacement for the original camera in my 2014 Ram 1500 which got wet. I don't know what the 3 star review in 2017 is talking about, this camera was part of Mopar, it looked exactly like the ones they replaced.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Empty

Exact replacement for OEM

Shipped earlier than expected. The camera has the same part number as the camera installed at the factory in 2013. Improvements must have been made to these units as the new camera gives sharper images and more vivid colors than the original camera when the truck was new.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Volume

Worked great on my 2015 Ram Rebel

The rear camera was scratched, ordered this and replaced it myself, installation was easy and if you have very big hands ask a girl to help you. But it was just plug and play after I unscrewed everything in the tailgate. The picture was clear and without problems after 7 months.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Update available

Cost but hard to get

Perfect replacement for my old camera, it is an exact replacement for the Mopar OEM camera. Just removed the tailgate access panel and then took HR to remove the screws because they're ridiculously difficult to reach. 5 seconds to swap out and then another 15 minutes to put the screws back in. Works perfectly. Crystal clear one of my best Revain purchases.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Some problems

Works like OEM at half price

I bought a used 2016 RAM pickup. The old camera's image was just blurry, so I can't say how the new camera's image directly compares, but it looks good to me. The guides are fully functional and the display is quite comfortable. Installation was relatively easy in a limited space. The plug opened straight away - there were no problems. Good value for money.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not sure

Works exactly as described

Installed this camera on a 2014 Ram Laramie replacing the original. Easy installation and everything works great. By removing the skid plate on the tailgate, I found it easier to remove the two 8mm nuts holding the tailgate handle and remove the handle to remove the 2 T-15 Torx screws, using which the camera is attached. Now the only difference is that the picture is sharp and clear. Two thumbs up for this replacement

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • No

Works perfect! - Auto & Vehicle Electronics

This is a replacement for the original. Camera quality is crisp and clear, true plug and play. Very happy with it, hope it lasts a few years (original made it 4 years). A few things to watch out for if you've never done an install: Lower the tailgate. Using a T25 hex screwdriver, unscrew the back panel (8 screws) on the tailgate (do not remove the plastic cover on top as you will not be able to access it). Socket wrench, use a T15 hex bit to loosen the 2 screws holding the unit in place. It…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to tell
