I should have bought it a long time ago

That's great! They silenced my truck again after driving around the area for over a year without finding where the noise was coming from. It took about 10 minutes to install all 4 by simply jacking up and inserting the springs on each bracket. Sounds and feels like a new truck.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not automatic

Great replacement for a part GM doesn't want to sell

This is a great replacement for OEM parts that fail over time. It gets loud without them. TIPS: You must unload the rear axle to create clearance. If you have air bags, they're great for that. I added some black silicone to make the new ones hold better. Time will tell if that works.

  • Alright!

The leaf springs of my GMC truck are calm again.

If your Chevy or GMC truck's leaf springs make a clanking noise over big bumps (like speed bumps), this is for you. Look at both ends of the lower leaf springs on either side of the truck and you'll likely notice that a couple of them are missing. Easy to install, just use the pry bar to make room to glue in place.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Not everything fits

I didn't know how much I needed her.

I didn't realize how much I needed them. My rear suspension made a metal-on-metal slap noise when going over big bumps or speed bumps. These spring pads fixed that annoying "pop" and somehow made the truck more solid. Maybe I got feedback from the truck when it rattled, but now it really feels smoother over bumps. Big!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Shut up my truck. in Leaf Springs

I lifted my truck by the front spring mount bushing and stuck a pickle pick between the springs, opening them wide enough to pull out the worn seal and put in a new one. Some complain that their new seal falls out. Well, drill a hole in the bottom and stick a pin in it to hold it in place. The whole process took less than 10 minutes and my squeaky quills shut up. Thanks Dorman.

  • Pleased

Unexplained knocking from behind? Check your leaf springs

Ever since I bought this truck last July, I've been tracking that knock at the rear when you hit a bump at an angle. I checked everything, then it turned out that there were no spring leak isolators on a sheet of metal on the driver's side. I set them up (about 30 minutes with a pry bar, 3 lb sledgehammers and a large leaf splitting wedge) and haven't heard the noise since. $10 well spent!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
