This is the part you need. It was just updated

For a moment I thought I had received the wrong part. But then I realized that this is actually a new version of the same part. Part passed on immediately and the engine runs perfectly. So the problem part was replaced. And the customer is glad they didn't spend more than $200 on the part at the parts store.

Worked well on my 07 Sport Trac

The balancer on my 07 4.0 ST came off and threw away the pulley section. It was cheaper than buying it locally at a parts store, so I went with that. I had no trouble installing it, the only thing I find different from the OEM is that the trigger ring is cheap - it looks more like a metal cage than the real solid metal original. While it still has a 36-1 layout and still works, once it starts to rust I'm not sure how well it will hold up over the long term. All in all this is a good and cheaper

Proper replacement for 2004 Explorer 4.0L V6 Flex Fuel

The Harmonic Balancer on my 2004 Explorer 4.0L V6 Flex Fuel comes in two parts. It was the right replacement. Buy a new center bolt for it from a Ford dealer (cost me $8). The universal puller/assembly kit is not very suitable. To remove the old one, I bought a 5.5" 3/8" carriage bolt and put it in the center hole so the puller would push on it. To install, I screwed in a spare pulley with an old bolt and then tightened it with a new bolt from the dealer. It's probably not the best way, but Iโ€ฆ

The factory harmonic balancer failed so I ordered this Dorman to replace it. Came and about a week later I installed it (the store was reserved). Received the car back and about a day later the Check Engine light came on along with codes P0300, P0301 and P0305. I figured maybe the crankshaft position sensor was bad as the balancer was bad so I replaced it. No luck, still giving out codes at random times. Replaced spark plugs, wires and ignition coil within a few weeks (trying to isolate problem
