2002 Chevy Avalanche with 167000

I performed an engine overhaul on my 2002 Chevy Avalanche with 167000. I decided to replace my intake manifold because I was adding a cold air intake and figured why not mostly reinstall everything under the hood from scratch. From the looks of it this part appears to be better than the stock part and looks like it will take more air than the stock intake manifold. Definitely recommend. Also, do yourself a huge favor and get some knock sensors, map sensors, crank sensor, camshaft sensor and…

No complaints about intake manifold and parts

It fits and works as advertised. I really can't add anything that hasn't already been said. Shane's review is perfect. Update 8/8/2015 I had to replace the intake manifold, it was melting from the heat coming from the exhaust gas recirculation valve. The mechanic told me there should be a baffle in the EGR port to disperse hot air. She was not there! The error I got was P0300 (random misfire). It took 4 different trips to 4 different mechanics and $1500 to find the problem. A Chevrolet body…

Great fit and it fixed my vacuum leak!

Bought and installed on my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Like all the other reviews, it doesn't quite fit, but I had no real problems installing it. The only change that needed to be made was to lengthen the MAP sensor wires as they are now on the rear end of the intake manifold instead of up top like the OEM. One more piece of information: The instructions included with the device refer to the f version and do not contain any torque specifications. You will need to go to the Dorman website to find…

It works great and Revain's price is MUCH better than anywhere else!

As said before, this is different from the OEM intake. But change isn't always bad, and removal and installation went very well on my '99 Silverado with 5.3 engine. The only downside I would like to report is that the 10 screw tightening sequence when installing is not visible to my eyes. and I didn't bother to look at it beforehand. Not a big deal as I had experience with many multi-bolt plastic parts with torque sequences that are the same in all directions and never repeat themselves twice…

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Firstly everything you need is in the box and the Dorman branded gaskets are already properly installed. It's a little tricky to connect the harness to the MAP sensor as you have to do it "by touch" as they moved the MAP location to the back of the air intake. That's my minor complaint. My only major complaint is the black nipple that sits behind the throttle body on the intake. I hope the laws of physics keep it in place until I figure out how to permanently seal that port. The sum of these…

Act! Better OEM!

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500HD with 6.0 at 122,000 miles and it suffered from rough idling and a general feeling of power loss while driving. But it never had the usual Check Engine gauge associated with bad intake gaskets. Just a rough idle and very slight random misfires that could be heard and felt at the exhaust pipe. After careful tuning and eventual replacement of the intake manifold gaskets (a common problem) I was still greeted with rough idle. Shit! So I replaced every sensor I could,

A cheap replacement for the original manifold that serves its purpose.

I bought this to replace my 2000 5.3 liter Chevy header which had warped to the point where it no longer matched properly with the rest of the engine could, even with a premium Felpro class gasket kit (I've tried both the standard Felpro kit and their premium offering). I've consistently gotten long-term fuel trims in the range of about 12% with premium Felpro seals, which I'll detail below. Turning on the check engine light isn't enough, but I heard a hiss and the engine computer was…
