Correct part recommended

Fits my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Main Street perfectly and was easy to install. Fixed an issue with the Check Engine display due to code reading issues with temporary issues.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Good overall but...

Works Great - Replacement Parts

Installed a few weeks ago and solved my temperature issues. I drive about 200 km a day. By the way, make your life easier and use the vent valve to shorten the venting time after installation. I only discovered this 5 minutes after starting the system.

Fixed fault code P0128 on a 2015 Dodge Caravan

Removed the old thermostat and installed the new one in about 30 minutes. A lot of coolant will spill out when you take the old thermostat out, so set down an oil pan to catch it. I disconnected the battery to reset the car computer and error codes. Since then I've been driving normally, the checkmark doesn't light up.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Dorman - that says it all

Thing ripped midway through installation, luckily I was able to salvage the gasket, thermostat and spring from it which replace in my own case and it works . have I overdrawn? Never got far enough to do it. I put the old case back in with no problems and this wasn't my first pony ride which is why I call it a crappy product.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not sure

Perfect replacement

There are no problems with the part itself. At least experience says this - there is no defect in the part, but be sure to remove the original gasket from the mounting surface! I haven't seen it there before, so with the new gasket put on top of the old one, there was such a gap between the case and the mounting surface that I broke my ear off the new case. I ended up removing the core and putting it in the old case.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Interval

Check engine code for thermostat error. Ordered this, 1 gallon coolant and a drain pan. Disconnect the battery negative cable, open the radiator drain, remove the air chamber, loosen the 2 fastening screws of the thermostat, remove the thermostat, loosen the clamp, remove the thermostat from the hose, install a new thermostat. Look for a self-closing funnel, it makes bleeding the system a lot easier!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Small parts

A good product. Good price.

I was glad Dorman parts were available at a good price. My engine started misfiring and an error code appeared. The scanner said the coolant temperature is below the threshold. The coolant level was fine so I replaced the thermostat. Glad it came with a case and seal. Very easy to install. Had to reset the code upon completion as the engine kept cutting out. Several weeks have passed. Still great.

Identical to the original part, excellent

To my surprise, this product had the same markings as the original part it was intended to replace. Fits perfectly and works great. My car quickly reaches its optimal operating temperature and stays there. Installation was pretty easy. For work I bought a tool for flexible clamps (ABN universal tool kit for flexible clamps). If you remove the radiator hose first, it will be easier to get to the screws that hold the thermostat in place. Just be careful not to over-tighten them when installing…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

This is a little different from the thermostats I'm used to. At first glance I was afraid. After watching the video, it couldn't be easier. Use a 1/4" ratchet with a 10mm hole. Soon the screws loosened enough to be removed with fingers. Then pull out the hose so you can get a better angle when loosening the clamp by sliding the hose down. Use a small screwdriver around the thermostat hose fitting and remove the hose. Install a new thermostat, replace the clamp, tighten the screw. Remember to…

  • Everything is fine!
