⚙️ Dorman HELP! 76933 Gear Shift Knob with Bushing Review

Money, it served its purpose. The original Infiniti shift knob was just heavier, so it just took a little effort to get it shifting smoother. But for most cars this should work just fine.

I used this to replace the T-handle on a Hurst shifter that was removed. It turned out a lot better than expected. The ball has a good finish and weight. It came with 4 sets of yarn and matched perfectly. theft at his expense.

Decent basic shift knob No frills or frills but just what I wanted. Place it on the Joyner Sand Viper so the threads are sticking out a bit, but nothing the silicone can't fix. The extra thread inserts are really tiny, so take care. The handle itself is just plastic thread, so be careful not to tear it off. Worked great for my application, but you may need something more substantial for your daily driver.

Nice and simple. Almost everyone knows the fit. It doesn't go down far enough that when you replace the original knob you can feel some of the threading underneath. I didn't care. I'm replacing an old, smelly handle on a battered truck. I just wrapped it with black tape. I can see hating it if I used it in a nicer car. Again, I'd probably spend more than $9 if that was the case.

Better than expected at a price that is at least nothing else is on the market. Decent quality plastic. not quite shiny, but just right in the classic sense. The hemispherical seam is visible and mine had a slight 1/8 inch defect at that seam, but that's not a problem. The inserts are high quality but they try to save money by combining 4 thread combinations in 2 inserts. This has a downside. I purchased the shift ball from 123 Autoparts. There were supposed to be two threaded adapters in the box, but there was only one adapter in it. The package was partially open when I received it. Of course, the missing adapter was what I needed. Instead of returning the adapter and waiting for a new one, I called Dorman directly to see if they could send me another adapter.
