Ideal for DIY gravity filters. I suggest running water through them for 3 cycles and then letting them dry completely for a week before storing. After 2-3 uses it drips a little faster. Pretty decent price.

. They're better than those black Berkey cartridges that pop out of the slots and let the water through unfiltered. I can't give 5 stars because I can't measure the actual quality of the filtered water. 4 stars for the smell and taste of the water. It takes about 4-5 hours to filter the entire top tank of my Berkey filter. Slowly, but I'm satisfied with this speed. At least it feels like it's filtering water, unlike the black Berkey cartridges where the water just spurts through.

Works with Berkey Light as advertised. These 10 inch headphones are perfect for the Berkey Light. Drip is WAAAAAAA slower than Black Berkeys. Seems like 3/4 gallons an hour with my tap water. This is to be expected since Doultons have a finer micron rating. My Berkey PF-2 fluoride filters do not fit these Doultons. You need PF-4 filters for ceramic filters like these Doultons.
