Will self destruct after some use

My initial thoughts on this product were quite positive. This seems to have fixed the problem. However, after a dozen uses, it turned out that this cartridge self-destructed. I saw in the original ad that the company had great tech support out of Ruckchin, Wisconsin, but the phone number provided just rings and keeps calling, not even a pop-up voicemail.

Pros
  • Dremel accessories are also color coded by use category, see brown color code for more ammo/shafts/collets/other rotating accessories

good tool. on drill parts and accessories

This is a handy extra feature. I use a Dremel 4300 for glass engraving and only had one problem. Frosted glass is so thin it's starting to clog the cartridge. I thought I cleaned it properly by covering the part completely and wiping the top of the glass. Unfortunately after trying to replace the burr it didn't move in the chuck. Grat. So I had to buy a new one. So now I have a can of air to blow out an empty cartridge after every cutter change. I couldn't believe that dust was accumulating…

REQUIRED if using a Dremel machine and drill station.

This item is an essential Dremel accessory, especially if you use a Dremel Workstation Mini Press for drilling. I just got one to develop a light fabrication project that is too small to justify the money and space required for a full sized drill press. The standard collet/chuck that comes with the tool isn't really designed with the precision required for high speed drilling and is a bit wobbly which can result in your drill bits drilling larger holes in your material than they should, for…

  • Can be used with Dremel Flex Shaft 225 and Angle Attachment 575

Not what I was hoping for. Not exactly.

I bought one of these. And in my last job (medical tech) we used them on almost every Dremel except mine. I've used so many when each of them had a pretty bad heartbeat. The collet is a much better method of holding and true axial centerline rotation. For this reason, all large milling machines use collet systems. You pay over $100 for a good cartridge (Albrecht) that works fairly accurately. side of the cut surface, leaving a bare spot. And that is a direct route to disaster. One thing that I…
