Very Heavy - Body

This was clearly designed for motorcycles. It is too difficult for cyclists. I have a much lighter handlebar mount from a previous version of the Driftcam. I wish they were still selling it.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Vulgarity

MUCH harder for cycling. Doesn't fit at all

I think it's cast, iron? It weighs A LOT, way more than you would expect. It's as heavy as the camera itself, so it might be suitable for a motorcycle, but definitely not for cycling. If you are driving, avoid it.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Oh, so close to perfect!

It works very well. I installed it upside down on the handlebars of a road and gravel bike. The only thing missing is that it should include shims/pads for large handlebars so you don't have metal on metal that can scratch the paint or the mount could slip off while riding. I had to buy silicone tape to put between the mount and the steering wheel. Otherwise it works quite well.

good workmanship, heavy AF

The thing is very well made and fits well on my bike's handlebars, but it's crazy that it's made of solid metal (maybe lead, but most likely cast aluminum). The weight of the mount is 113g without the fastener that screws into the camera (which comes with the camera, not with the mount) or 122g with it. That's crazy considering the camera weighs just 136g even without the mount. On a bicycle, 258 g is a ton of weight. You'll also need some sort of rubber pad (or tape etc) as it didn't come with

Stable, stable, practical handlebar mount

I use my drift camera to film possible incidents with other road users and also show my family the nice/beautiful things I encounter (if any) on my long drive. When I get home, I ride my bike. After trying some non-drift bar mounts, I ordered a drift bar. I did this because every other mount came loose during my bike rides and I had to stop frequently to reposition and tighten bolts, screws or whatever system the mount was using. The function for attaching the drift camera and holder is also…

No adjustment pads?

It's really annoying when you buy something that requires you to buy extra parts and put in effort to make it work. There is no standard for bicycle handlebars, they come in different diameters and shapes. My current bike, bought in 2020, has beveled handlebars. Possibly already in use. This does not include adapters or rubber pads/strips to make up the difference for smaller diameters. I love the "quick release" function that attaches to the drift cam (I say this in quotes because it's very…

Mine tends to sag

I use my rear facing security camera mount while lying down. No matter how hard I try to tighten the screw in the middle of the photo, I end up on a bumpy ride only to find that the camera has rotated forward and is now capturing the ground behind me. I solved the problem with rubber. Strap to apply downward pressure on the back of the camera. It seems this is enough to keep the camera lens from "hanging". I also had issues with the included rubber pads designed for the "ring" that tightens to…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
