Lightweight, comfortable, requires little hand force, no dripping

Compared to your cheap $3-5 caulking guns, it's a night and day difference. It is very light and comfortable to hold. I used this seal of my appearance for about 4 hours straight and had no pain in my hand. I used a quality sealer and the drip-free feature works. Only 1 joint compound had air bubbles which dripped anyway, but that's not the fault of the joint gun. The hook is great for hanging on stairs. Overall I would buy it again and recommend it.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Available in black only

High compression makes it very easy to apply very high viscosity sealant

I tried using a regular $5 caulking gun to apply concrete cement to some cracks in my basement floor. After the first tube, my finger and palm hurt a lot on the trigger due to the gun's low compression ratio and the high viscosity of the cement cement. I chose this gun because of the high compression. Once it arrives, what's the difference. I used 5 tubes of glue in about an hour and my index finger and hand didn't hurt at all. Good product.

Light weight and smooth ride

I've had the Dripless ETS 3000 for almost a year and I'm still happy with my purchase. I'm a professional joiner/carpenter who does a lot of repairs so I've had plenty of time to form an opinion on this tool. I would say that if you are a pro, this gun is worth buying. It's light, rarely drips, and what I like best is its smooth descent. Getting a good even coat of sealer is very easy with this gun. If you have someone who rarely uses it, I'd recommend just getting the $5 base pistol.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Great cartridge gun. I have two of these

About 8 years ago I got tired of investing in cheap caulking guns. What bothered me the most was the constant dripping that would occur unless the plunger was immediately pulled back to release the pressure. This was inconvenient when tracing more complex work, such as when you need to change direction or repeat the tracing line. I stumbled across the Dripless pistol and couldn't be happier. It's truly drip-free and has a switch that lets you choose between drip-free or continuous print mode. I

NOT for putty - still drips and oozes!

I bought this to push through heavy reinforced roofing cement and I can assure you that while the gun has the power to push it through, it is absolutely NOT non-drip. It continues to ooze like any other gun and frankly more than the cheap $5 models I've used. I am very disappointed as I thought this would solve a lot of problems and clutter. I haven't tried other sealants like silicone or polyurethane, maybe those work better. However, modified roof sealants do not prevent creep or seepage. I…

  • Great Construction

Good product but misnamed. See UPDATE!

I have only used this cartridge gun once and I have a very good overall impression. It seems well made and ergonomically much better than my old cartridge gun. The high compression rate makes it very easy to use. However, when using Dap Alex Sealant, it was drip-free, not drip-free. UPDATE 6 WEEKS LATER: The first seal tube I used had to have a large bladder to keep it pressurized as I have used several different seals since then and it is absolutely drip free. Today I used a high viscosity…

Supposedly professional caulking gun

I bought this caulking gun because I used the same one from another carpenter/craftsman. He said try it and you will never go back to the cheaper ones. I was skeptical but I tried. I felt well done and could easily control the laid out bead. The sealant stopped immediately when I let go of the trigger. So I went online and found the exact same thing here. I used it as a carpenter/craftsman. Sad joke from me. The selected option without drops does not work. Then it presses through the sealant…
