Cheap made, jagged ends, Not rounded smooth

Typical cheap made collar. Ends are jagged, not rounded and smooth, and need to be filed round and smooth. I just needed a couple of pieces for parts, and replaced all the prongs from extras of better quality collarsIf you don’t want to spend time filing ends of the prongs, don’t buy.

Pros
  • Pinch Collars
Cons
  • May not be comfortable for older dogs with arthritis or neck problems

Prongs are flat and not rounded like example pictures

It seems like a sturdy product, but the prongs are flat and hard edged, which is not like the "smooth and rounded" description and imagery listed above. The kit comes with rubber nubs to place over the prongs, which was also not described above. The product probably changed design at some point, but the description has not.

Pros
  • Prong training collar suit for all kinds of dog, You can remove and add back prong collar from the collar as needed to fit your dog's neck.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with sensitive skin

This has a learning curve but well worth it

There is a learning curve to adjusting the size and the removal and application process. That being said the difference between walking my medium size dog was night and day after use. My trainer recommended a prong collar and it has made walking her a joy. It is not painful I’ve used it on my neck it’s just pressure. If you’re afraid to use it consult a dog trainer to help you.We watched several YouTube tutorials to figure out how to remove links and apply the collar and remove after our…

Just what I was looking for

This is a straight forward collar but well executed. The slack in the chain allows for the warning before the pinch. My lab is very high energy but this collar lets me walk him with no pulling. The few times he does try, the collar does it’s job without being too painful. He has never yelped or shown pain when it is pulled tight, but he always comes right back to my side.

Pros
  • Can be used in conjunction with other training methods
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with a history of hip dysplasia or other joint problems

Dog broke collar with strong pull

Happy to change this review if this is by design and will be specified in product description. My dog was tied to a bench in the street (this is a mistake on my part not switching collars), she launched at another dog and just destroyed the collar and broke free. The breakthrough might have prevented an minor injury, but I can't trust this collar not to break when it shouldn't.

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off
Cons
  • May be difficult to find replacement parts
