Absolutely useless for AM products

For what you pay for this cheap clone it's not a real ed3 v6, you can buy a whole block. It is already assembled and can be tightened correctly. That's junk if you change the nozzle, if it's different then the knot is loose and leaking everywhere. Don't waste your money, every piece is scrap and this is not a complete kit, there is no thermistor or heating element as shown in the pictures.

Pros
  • Use up to 300°C with the included thermistor for polycarbonate, nylon, PLA, ABS and other materials.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It's worth it if you need it. For use with Longers Clone Ender 3.

Worth the money if you need high temperature printing. I bought it to print in nylon which works very well (although my bed adhesion sucks but that's not his fault) as well as a nice ABS print. I haven't tried it with anything else yet. I ended up printing a mount that allows 2 24V fans to provide adequate cooling. I really don't recommend using the fan mount that came with the kit and reusing your regular extruder fan as I've read that all metal hot ends need a lot of cooling and with two 40mm

Pros
  • E3D V6 0.4mm all-metal nozzle for 1.75mm filament (with Bowden attachment) (24V).
Cons
  • I will add later

Great hotend but the thermistor is broken

I got this hotend and it worked, but I kept having what I thought were bugs in my firmware because it would heat up to about 160 and then show me random things on the nozzle temp display. Once it went up to 160-180, then it started reading 20 or so, so it kept going up. As the plastic started to vaporize, I found that the temperature was much higher than 210. I continued to wrestle with my firmware, thinking it was the culprit, only to a few days later take my hot end apart and notice one of…

Pros
  • Original E3D packaging. Assembly instructions are available on the E3D website.
Cons
  • Some little things
