👟 AP1 Sport Walking Shoe by Easy Spirit Review

I'm not exactly sure what happened to these Easy Spirit shoes. This style used to be made out of beautiful, soft, comfortable leather. This pair is hard and uncomfortable. Now they are made in China. I don't know if this affects the quality of the leather but I am very disappointed with this purchase. I would have sent them back if I hadn't already worn them, but I was hoping they wouldn't "break", I can tell.

This is usually my favorite Easy Spirit style. It should be very light and comfortable, but what I received is too big, hard, bulky and uncomfortable. It looks more like an orthopedic shoe than a lightweight hiking shoe. Unfortunately I didn't wear them the first day and couldn't return them. I bought another of the same model from a different seller on ebay and it is exactly the same as I remembered so this one is either mislabeled or not made the same way.

I really liked my other Easy Spirit (Travel Time) shoes so I decided to buy another pair with a different look. I love the way they look - the dark purples are only slightly purple, almost brown - and the instep strap is easily adjustable, so the fact that they were a bit wider than the other styles helps. . I have been wearing this brand and style of shoes for over 20 years. Initially, you could order the size, width, and heel width for a really great fit. Now you can't order the width of the heel at all. Due to problems with my feet I now need WW shoes but with an N heel width. I can't figure it out. I have had Grasshopper stretch laces plus shoes for 20 years and now they are no longer offered. I was panicking because I'm having a hard time finding shoes that fit my feet.
