The bristles are stiff but not coarse if you know the difference. They lay flat fairly easily but don't fold when the brush is reversed (pulled back) so they work great. It should be noted that if you are looking for brushes with a very hard shank, this is not what you need. They are strong, but the twisted wire bends fairly easily and is not suitable for all applications.

Most convenient. I bought a Mr. Grill injector and was shocked at the residue left in the injector tube! Exactly what nobody needs. cross contamination. I'm terrible with metrics and wasn't sure what size the hose was so I bought this multi size kit. A few drops of dish soap and my worries down the drain. I highly recommend. This is a really great and handy set of brush cleaners. I bought these specifically to keep the straws clean for my Thermos water bottles (12oz Thermos Funtainer Bottle, Star Wars Clone Wars) and they work great! I've also used them to clean small crevices in other kitchen utensils or to clean fragile glassware. They work very well and sit on a comfortable ring so you know they will always be together.

I ordered the first set of these for my cousin's many hummingbird feeders and a durable straw for her favorite cup when I was visiting her house. When they arrived I immediately ordered a set for myself. They are so perfect for all those tiny holes and crevices in the food bowls and one was the perfect size to give her straw a thorough cleaning. She was excited, as was I. There are so many sizes that I know I will find many more uses for them in the future. I highly recommend them.

Furthermore, the thinner the brush, the more flexible it is, and the smallest of them tend to be thin rather than even flexible…

They are so versatile. It's one of those things where you don't know how much you need until you have it. I bought these because I needed to clean some of the straws that come with adult spill-proof cups. But I used them for everything else too. Small ones can get into the smallest of gaps, and large ones still get into corners that don't usually get properly clean.
