Great Little Tool in my review

I had eight watches (mine, my wife's, and my father-in-laws) that needed battery replacement. As a result of the COVID 19 restrictions my jewelry store was closed so I bought a kit to allow me to do it myself. All YouTube videos showing how to do this recommended opening up the watch band to make the back of the watch more accessible. I thought I could just do it leaving the band fully connected. WRONG. So I bought this tool and it made that step in the process SO MUCH easier. Obviously if you…

Pros
  • The pins aren't as strong as expected but it gets the job done.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all watch bands

Center level adjusting disk is not useful screw post to short. They give you extra push pins probably because the height adjustment disk in the meddle of the devise is not functional and without proper leveling you'll bend the tiny pin. I give this a 5 because the cost out ways the the time and money spent for link removal.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • Not suitable for those who are not mechanically inclined

Good buy if you can figure it out

I figured it out on my own but it was so sturdy. Saved me time ( didn’t have to go to the store) and money( was cheaper than any store.) I think it’s a good buy for some ppl.

Pros
  • Professional-grade quality
Cons
  • Removing links may require significant physical exertion

Patience and good lighting are a must

I bought a $200 Invicta watch that was 3 links too big for me. This little tool did the trick, I found a YouTube video using the same link remover; that was everything since there are no instructions. There are extra "pin removers” which turned out to be a life saver, I bent at least 3 of them.

Pros
  • Lightweight and portable for on-the-go repairs
Cons
  • The kit may be difficult to use if you don't have a steady hand

Watch link remover tool.

Good, affordable, doesn't allow you to use the tool that came with the actual watch. I was able to make some moves to use it, had to use a hammer but I figured it out. Make sure you use the indicator arrows on the watch links when removing them or you'll break the watch.Overall worth the $6 definitely.

Pros
  • Excellent product
Cons
  • Has a high risk of causing damage to the watch or band

Better than the plastic one's.

I like the fact that it's some sort of cast metal. It gives a straighter line to the pin needed to be removed on the band , much better than plastic ones I've had. The price was more than fair. And it works well for me.

Pros
  • Makes resizing watch bands a breeze
Cons
  • Not useful for people who don’t wear watches regularly

Works well but tricky to line up

I bought this to remove a link from the watch band on a new Fossil smartwatch. The tool works as advertised. You have to be reasonably careful to keep the watch band perpendicular to the mechanism; if you can do that it works well enough. The 3 stars on ease of use are because it is touchy to line up the watch band and there aren't any guides that help or hold the band in place. Also, the tool is small and doesn't have anything to mount to a tabletop to stabilize (a suction cup would be…

Pros
  • Comes with extra punch pins, ensuring longevity
Cons
  • The kit requires a lot of effort and patience to use

Easy to use, try to not to apply a lot of force.

Overall, it's a great product. Very easy to use. My one piece of feed back I have is that the metal tips used to push out the watch pins are very fragile. Two of my metal tips broke off with very little force and I've used a similar product like this before without any issues. Overall, it's great, still would recommend it to anyone. Just would like it to be not as fragile.

Pros
  • It was a big help in removing links from my new watch band and met my expectations.
Cons
  • The device works BUT the wires break when you try to use it.

The product makes the removal of the pin easy, but, although the screw to elevate the bracelet is good, it's not long enough to reach the needed height to the removal pin.

Pros
  • It was very easy to remove the link of chain with this tool. I have used it on fossil watch.
Cons
  • Si me gusto

Works well if you do it right

Adjustable platform is definitely wobbly but you don't really need it. Just line up the pin hole by hand and tighten the crank and it will work perfectly. It is critical to line it up straight to keep from bending or breaking the push pin. Guessing this is a common issue and the reason for all the replacement push pins. Also you will need a pair of needle nose plyers because it will only push the pin out about 1/3 of the way. Worked well when you use this process 👍

Pros
  • Ensures a comfortable, snug fit
Cons
  • The punch pins can break easily or become stuck in the links

I used the tool to withdraw links and reattach links to the clasp after shortening my metallic watch strap. Price was reasonable for this screwed rod in a c shaped clamp. The problem was with a vertical height adjustment surface. It also consisted of a round wheel with a screw onto base of the clamp. It should have had a greater adjustment.

Pros
  • Conveniently packaged for gift-giving
Cons
  • The tool may scratch or damage the watch face

Great concept though the adjusting material on the base plate is a little flimsy and the pins could be stronger. All in all an adaquate tool for the DIY.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • Love the product but the pins keeps breaking on the bigger watches

It's $6. It's like a vice grip in which the male end of the pin on this device goes into the actual watch pin hole and you twist it with your hands. It's not easy to get the pins out so I literally ended up taking the male pin off the device (it unscrews) and hammering that into the watch links to remove it. That worked out better. I can say this device can maybe get it started. But I don't have enough sheer grip power lol.

Pros
  • Works as expected
Cons
  • Not easy to store or organize
