    Overview chain boots.

    Loved the grip and fall free feel. The problem was that I wear braces on my legs and they made me wobble. Make no mistake, they work well and are great value. I don't think it will be a problem in very deep snow.

    Best shoe care product for the money

    Works great on ice and snow. The fabric straps seem useless, but even without them they hold onto my boots perfectly. One of the links broke off while hiking, but that was an easy fix. It's a good price in my opinion, especially if you can't afford the equivalent of a big brand.

    Finally someone got it!

    Most ice/snow bolts fall apart sooner rather than later. These boots fit well, hold up, don't fall apart and really stick to ice or snow. The quality is excellent. Chain links are safe. The spikes really help. I've been using it daily for over a month and the boots look like new.,

    DO NOT go on winter hikes without them

    A picture says more than a thousand words. My winter walk through Rocky Mountain National Park would have ended with this snow runoff taking over the trail. Although I also had a rope, I didn't need it for support on this slope. These crampons really work when put to use. They have earned a permanent home with my car chains.

    Works great on hard ice and packed snow.

    I've driven it over 20 miles. Size XL is perfect for size 11 sorrels. They seem very durable. I had no problems. They come with a nice thick storage pouch and I'll be sure to keep them for when I get back on the pavement. The only weird thing about them is that they both have an "L" on them. I'm not sure if I have two left cats, but they appear to be symmetrical. This is a good buy if you treat them right.

    Best $17 I've Spent In A Long Time!

    I used these cats for the first time and was very impressed. I spent the day walking along two treacherous 500-meter ice-covered piers that emptied directly into Lake Michigan. The ice was at least 10 inches thick and I could move as if I was walking on concrete. I was out all day and never slipped. They are easy to put on and take off and I would highly recommend these crampons!

    DO NOT BUY: Broken after 2 hours of use

    I am very disappointed with this product. I've used them on a moderate snow/ice trail and both broke down on various occasions within a 2 hour hike. The connecting parts are of very poor quality and will bend during use. Each time they failed, the chains whipped and caught on my other shoe, causing me to trip and fall (as if your shoelaces were tied together). Honestly, it's a security risk. I can't imagine how they would perform under more stressful conditions. I will return mine.

    GOOD! - Dress them up properly. Winter boots US11.5/X-Large

    I use them for US11.5 men's winter boots with padding. Not as big as a pack of boots with removable felt liners, but almost. I use X-Large and they fit and work well. You stay on your boot. I don't really think a strap is needed but I use it anyway. Three rides on these spikes, two of which involve very steep snowy hills. All three rides had icy trails and hard off-piste snow. Great traction everywhere. It would be difficult to climb the very steep hills off the trail, which I did without…
