I just connected two monitors to my MacBook Pro 2017 (running Mojave) and I now have three screens, not mirrored, extended. The adapter needs a driver which can be downloaded from a shared Google drive (I know, a little nervous about that, but it all worked out perfectly). I needed to give special permission to the app because it was not recognized, but once I did that, it downloaded right up and started working as soon as plugged the cable into my USB 3 port. Worked great did exactly what I wanted…except every time I unplugged it from my laptop I had to eject it as a device and then when unplugged it in again…reinstall the driver…dumb design. If you don’t need to unplug it, it’s worth it. (I also have to have my work tech support approve the driver to install it…)

This is a USB3 port not regular USB, it works on regular USB but with a very low resolution, in USB3 the resolution is perfect!

I got the cable and a disc with it. Apparently you will need to download from the disc some sort of app to be able to use A CABLE thats supposed to just connect and use. - Hard to use. Had to google and do instructions posted online from other users as disc did not work to help. Work PC was reading the cable as a webcam and not allowing the additional screen to be added to PC and this is coming from a very experienced IT guy from my job. This should have been easier!

I downloaded the driver which took all of 2 minutes. Plugged in my new (3rd) screen and that was that. Only issue I had was that I couldn’t change the resolution because that option was locked. I figured out that I had plugged the usb into a slower port so I just switched to a 3.0 USB port and now the resolution is perfect. Overall I recommend this converter.

This product does not appear to work with macOS Mojave. (I gave it three stars because, in fairness, the description does not specifically mention compatibility with Mojave. Also, the product is Prime eligible, so it got here in a day, and I can easily replace it without paying any return shipping. This cable worked. It had a link to install the driver that was needed. Also came with a CD for installation, but I didn’t have a CD drive. I was able to hook my MacBook Air (2015) to an additional screen with this cable. This allowed me to have 3 screens for working. Really satisfied and I was a little worried about going to the website for the driver, but it was a real driver and didn’t crash my computer or anything sketchy.

Because a damaged screen in my son's Dell all in one Inspiron became unusable and with this cable I was able to put him back in business using an old monitor and all his "stuff" is accessible again. I had to download something in order to use it… I didn’t care for that… I just wanted to plug it in and it work…. But once I did that the cable works perfectly.

I was A little skeptical that (video quality would suffer) with a VGA to USB adapter. But since my laptop does not have a Usb C Port, This was my only option. I was pleasantly surprised. There’s no noticeable difference between my monitor connected with an HDMI cable versus this VGA to USB adapter. Screen quality is good. Driver download was a breeze. The product works as advertised.
