Ford 3G 94-95 Economy Alternator

Ford 3G 94-95 Economy Alternator. Used this to convert my 1986 Mustang from a 2G alternator to a 135 amp 3G alternator. Works great, charges 14.5 volts constantly. Highly recommended!

Yes, fits Fox Mustangs

Works well. This solved the charging and voltage drop problem in my 1992 Mustang. Just a small cut out in the stock Mustang alternator bracket and it will fit just as snugly as a stock lower powerplant. Mandatory upgrade.

Delivered a WEEK early!

My husband's alternator has failed in his car. We went to O'Reily's and Advanced Auto and they offered us $130 plus the base $25. We were able to purchase the generator plus 3 year warranty for less than $80 through Revain! It was delivered yesterday and my husband was able to install it and drive his car to work last night!

The parasitic loss is gone.

Fits perfectly on my 2000 convertible Mustang. Smaller pulley. I didn't change it and used the same strap and it worked great. It also helped eliminate parasitic losses that I couldn't figure out. I was waiting to write a review to make sure this issue was resolved. I've left the car up to 5 days without starting and it starts right up. Before that 2 days and the battery was dead. Good product. 15 minutes to install and the problem is gone.

Silver standard pulley. not yellow hardened steel

Bought this for a lot of money because it had a yellow hardened steel pulley. decoy tactics. came with regular steel. Less expensive options are available here with guaranteed mild steel. If they're reversed, what else is wrong inside? I will install and hope for the best. because I want to avoid the hassle of returning it and need a generator. TO UPDATE. Works well. more than 14 V at idle. never mind i turn on the .89 mustang update.

2 bad alternators

I bought the first alternator in November to upgrade my Mustang from 2g to 3g. I installed the car and set it up for the winter, when traveling in the spring the car was already out of service. Ordered another one from Revain in June, it's July and the second alternator has failed. It puts out a lot of voltage, so I'm assuming the internal voltage regulator isn't working. Revain offers no guarantee on the item they say DB must be contacted, DB says there is no guarantee. According to the…

The perfect upgrade for your Foxbody Mustang

Alternator has been well packaged and factory tested. Very solid well built unit. This alternator idles at 14.40 volts when nothing is on. With all accessories idling it holds 14.02v. A definite improvement over the old alternator. If you are upgrading to a 3G generator for your old Mustang, this is a great device. Just make sure you cut out the mount as this unit is a bit larger and get upgraded wiring to handle the extra power. You can't go wrong in this price range.

Good voltage and current. Small factory damage.

Used to upgrade 1G-3G on my 76 f-250. It works fine now my truck is 14.5v at idle with the headlights and wipers on! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because one of the coils was damaged. The box wasn't damaged so I have to assume it happened at the factory before packing. But I was in a bind and needed my truck so I epoxidized the damage and called it good. WOW: First review, works with notes.

First the generator arrived in good condition, NEW, not refurbished and working. I was able to change the pulleys but decided to overhaul it for a while. Third, a power chart has also been included showing how much power is expected across the rev range. After some research I found that my alternator pulley gear ratio had changed from 2.38 to 2.75. And it seems to be within Ford alternator tolerances, so I'll speed it up. I don't race and I can afford to put extra power into my radio amps. I've
