Copper Measured

There are many counterfeit "copper" wires currently sold at Revain that are not actually copper. Some are even said to be tinned, but the inside can be a copper alloy like brass, so you can't even trust the color or color of the cut ends of the wire. This wire has actually been copper as of at least April 2021 according to a 4-wire ohms measurement using Kelvin clamps. A 10 foot piece of 10 gauge should read 0.01 ohms and this wire will fit.

frustrating and time consuming to work with.

I bought a 10AWG cable and would like to read the reviews more closely. It's a soft, fraying wire that caused even more frustration when working with it trying to fit it into the connectors. Because the wire is so soft, it was more prone to fraying than the stronger, tougher cable I've also worked with, which held its shape and shape without breaking. This product is very soft and brittle and I will never buy it again.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Cons

I bought this cable because I was looking for a short spool of high temp cable to make extensions for the resistors I bought to get rid of the excessive flash that a lot of people get when switching got from halogen to LED. As long as the wire is fine and works well. Time will tell, of course, but hopefully it will be years away. If not, I will update my review. I've included a few photos showing the wire used on the resistor lead extensions I made. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Suitable for use with soft wire

Wire is not stiff. he is soft Appears to be of good quality. It can be easily stripped with a wire stripper. The core is not hard. The core is twisted. However, the strands are tinned. I needed something more complex to make PCB flies. After stripping the wire, do not remove the stripped insulation. Instead, slowly roll it as you pull it out. This will twist the exposed strands. Then tin the twisted strands. Then you can just plug it into the holes on the board. A good product. The packagingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Dull packaging

Mates with oil pressure sensor harness

I used this to connect an oil pressure sender block to a sensor harness that also used 22 AWG wire. I couldn't find this size in local stores; the smallest available is 16 AWG. Ten feet long was more than enough to reach from the front of the engine, the wire attached to the wiring harness, and through the firewall to connect under the dash of a 2012 Ram 1500. Note that I used the heavier gauge 16 gauge AWG wire to ground the transmitter. Good electrical grounding is critical to proper gaugeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Nothing

silicone wire

The insulation is very flexible, ideal for Dodge Ram door harness repair. Not sure if the gauge is there, slipped out of the right size crimp connectors, although the connectors were cheap, like 200 for $20, they could be the problem. This is a tinned copper wire. I bought a size 14 but my strippers didn't shave a single strand off the size 16 hole. It seems good that I can't test my repair ie. Reinstall doors and open 5000 times, rain. Barely fit into the fancy factory style interchangeableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • rated voltage 600 V; Amperage 12A
Cons
  • will write later

I have been looking for this type of wire for years. This is a two-wire version of the silicone cable commonly used in RC cars, quadcopters, and lithium polymer batteries. It is extremely flexible and soft compared to traditional PVC jacketed "speaker wire" type material. It also withstands extreme temperatures because the silicone insulation does not melt like plastic. It remains flexible even at very low temperatures when the PVC insulation becomes rock hard. I would prefer this type of wireโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 20ft total: 10ft black and 10ft red
Cons
  • I will add later

The best wire for racing quads. very good wire quality.

Rework motor wiring? This is the wire you need to get. Very high quality wire that withstands current up to 8s very well for motor wiring. When I change motors I take the motors I just changed and cut the shrink tubing off of them and put a new wire on them if 120mm so they are ready for another build if I reuse them or them are ready to use. sold if I intend to sell them. I hate just connecting wires, it looks messy and adds a point of resistance that isn't needed. Take a fresh lead and do itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Conductor: High purity oxygen-free tinned copper
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
