This is a good tool. My VOM didn't find any wiring problem, this tool showed the problem that the connection was still there but there was a high resistance that didn't show on the volts or ohms scale on the VOM.

This instrument is a must have for any voltmeter. You can do any normal voltage test and load test. The suggestion is to read the book that comes with the tool. I am an 11 year old veteran master technician. with L1 certificate and I am manufacturer certified. I learned from the book. You will know too.

This is one of the best "beginner" books for explaining and troubleshooting electronics. Fast and informative, it was a great investment. I also bought his invention known as Load Pro. If you ever troubleshoot electrical issues, invest in this tool too. Dan Sullivan is a great teacher and deserves more credit than he gets. Look for his videos on YouTube!

Excellent tool. Once you understand how it works, you'll save a lot of time diagnosing electrical problems. Saved my ass a few times. Mandatory attribute of every technology. Some dingdong said in another review he'd like to change the batteries in it. Rschunimagu. There is no battery in it. It has resistance. This is a small strain on the chain. It does not include a chain. Learn to use it and it will become a great tool for you.

Dan Sullivan is a smart guy. The tool is well made, and if you're familiar with electrical theory, you'll know that on-load voltage drop testing is vital. Shorting a wire with no load doesn't tell you the whole story. This tool is great. The only complaint is that it's a bit big, but you can use a test lead and clip it to the test probe and solve this problem. The book is a good read, Dan really tries to put things in simple words that are easy to understand.

Warning - long read. I received this instrument as a Christmas present. Prior to ownership I used the lightbulb method to load the circuit. It's much cleaner/easier. We all do voltage drop tests. That's probably more true of Euro cars than others, although the wiring principle is the same no matter whose badge is on the car.
