Helps you keep cool, but with lots of static

I am in hot flash age, and I frequently can only use a sheet when I sleep. Even then, I sweat. This blanket does keep you cool. It is light weight and made of a silky nylon-like material. This material produces a lot of static, even though the rest of my bedding is made of cotton. You will absolutely need to use laundry softener to help with the static. Otherwise, it does help you stay cool at night.

Keeping Me Cooler at Night

I'm a hot sleeper. I typically wake at least once in the night because I am overheated. I already have bamboo mattress pad, columbia omni freeze sheets, and a cooling pillow. It's December, so I'm not sure how accurate this assessment is, but I haven't woken up hot in the night since I added this blanket to the mix. And I did wake up every night the week before. I wasn't sure if I would like the slippery material, but I can live with it if it helps me stay cool while sleeping.

Very cool! on my review.

I can't sleep when I'm too hot so I need to be cool during the night. With this, I thought the 5 degree claim was just an exaggeration. I don't have a temperature measurement but it was cold for sure! I read one of the reviews say that the coolness wore off for them after one wash, but from my experience it hasn't.When washing it, I recommend washing it on its own though as it balled around my clothes and untangling it was no fun.I want to buy another one in a smaller size just so I can have a…

Amazingly cool blanket

The material used to make this blanket is so silky feeling. I have a major problem with night sweats and there is no doubt the cooling provided by this blanket helps. It has reduced the number of times I wake up soaked in sweat to maybe once a week instead of almost every morning. This blanket is amazing! I am a super hot sleeper and have lost a lot of sleep over it :( I have tried cooling mattress pads and other blankets but they always end up losing their cooling feature after 15 minutes or so. Great for anyone who gets hot flashes!

It's winter, it's cold, and you want to be warm, but then TOO WARM. Hot flashes are the worst but thrilled to find this blanket, I keep it above the covers, above my head on another pillow, when I get one I just pull it down over me and its instant chill, it lasts for about 15 minutes then still stays cool but not as cool. Then I put it back aobve my pillow and let it "recharge" while I warm back up under the covers. Im looking forward to summer, will update my revoew then.

Slippery, silky, and feels cool to the touch, but air-drying it is annoying

Great blanket for spring/summer or when you're warm/hot but still want a cover. I hate sleeping without something covering me, and a sheet doesn't have the weight of a blanket. This is a very thin and light, but substantial-feeling (doesn't feel like it will tear despite the thinness) blanket. The 90 X 108-size rolls up into a relatively small, messy (the slippery nature of the fabric means the folds don't really stay in very well) bundle that you could easily travel with. Very nice and cool for my opinion

This blanket does what it says! My room tends to get really hot, and I hate turning the AC down so this is a perfect solution. It really does feel nice and cooling, which is great because I cannot sleep if I'm uncomfortably warm. Love this blanket, I definitely recommend it!
