It'll do for anything that doesn't really matter, but I don't feel like I can trust it with anything important; It's low quality, but for the price, it's not entirely unexpected.

I didn't want to have an expensive tool next to my welding table. The angle is just right for what I wanted, the thumbscrew doesn't hold the ruler very well because it's crooked. If it's destroyed by welding, I won't feel bad.

So after a few months of using this tool the center finder is off by 1/8 inch. This is because the channel the pen is gripped in is wider than the pen itself, which also causes it to move when centered.

Center viewfinder shifted. Looks like the groove was cut too deep, so the center cuts in too deep. I can pour liquid steel into the bottom of the slot and mill it to the right depth. I don't have time to order a new one and wait for a refund

is enough if you try to use this thing. When you tighten the screw, the ruler moves off center. This thing is so poorly constructed it can't be used for any job. I bought it to find the centers of 2" round pieces of wood. The middle gauge was MUCH off center no matter what I did to fix it. DO NOT buy this crap
