A great addition to baking cookies!

Love the rolling pin and the beautiful design. The package arrived quickly and well packaged. FYI, don't forget to dust the needle with confectioner's sugar instead of flour to keep the dough from becoming chewy. And use a dry brush to clean the rolling pin after use.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Only available in white

Works great with sound.

I bought this rolling pin to use on clay. That works great. It may be a little difficult to clean, but the pattern is clear. When I bought this pin it was described as paisley but it actually has a winter theme with snowflakes. That should have been in the title.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Empty

Nice design, smooth scooter

I bought it for my daughter for her birthday. The lines are clear, about 1mm deep. The roller is almost 8 inches in diameter and the edges are approximately 1/8 inch on each side where there is no embossing. Thus the pattern rolls out approximately 7.5 inches in one pass. Good handle length for gripping. It will make lovely Christmas/Winter cookies!

  • Complete set
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Rolling pin with the best pattern.

Of the many patterned rolling pins I've tried, this one works the best. It's big enough. The pattern is deep enough to leave a decent embossed pattern that will remain after baking. It takes a few mistakes to find the right depth to ride. I find that lightly dusting with powdered sugar and tapping the table before rolling out eliminates the dough sticking. Very happy with it.

The pattern is deep enough

for embossing cookie dough. There were some reviews saying it wasn't right, or that the dark color at the base of the pattern was something bad, or that there were shards. None of this applied to the product I received. Cleaning can take a while when you dip the batter into these slots, but you expect it to get in. I found that by flouring well/shaking out the excess I got a better drawing and the roller came out fine. I had a great time with him, great cookies.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Colors Kitchen & Dining Dough

I don't usually write reviews but this product was so disappointing I felt compelled. Funny idea that made me splurge. The darker, dimpled areas have these tiny grooves that break off into tiny shards. Smells awful when wet, possibly a stain. I've tried washing with soap twice to no avail. Most importantly, it colors the dough with that dark area as you roll it out. I don't want to eat anything that gets erased from the dough. I threw away the dough and sent the roll back. Very sad because I…

Excellent rolling pin tool

Bought by accident. I wanted my cookies to stand out this year and my Scottish Gingerbread Dogs to look amazing. I dusted them with powdered sugar to brighten up the design. The cookies looked so pretty I tried them on my Wellington Christmas Beef on my grill. Then I can try it on a cake. Well worth the cheap price. Hand wash only, of course. I'm pretty sure people who are having trouble representing the design aren't rolling out the dough thin enough. Use a regular rolling pin first, and I…

Five stars made me buy this

. If I could give this product a 3.5 I would. The photos look so good. Is it functional and does it leave the design, yes. Whether it's overall best for all cookie doughs (I'm talking chewy dough like stuffed cookies like Oreos) I'm not selling. I'm making Oreo cookies from Stella Parks' BraveTart cookbook. In her recipe, she calls for 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. If you leave it out and roll out the patterned dough, it will disappear completely during baking. When I dip the baking powder, roll
