These flash drives are pure junk. Don't waste money. For those who do, the writing speed is insanely slow and stalls constantly for long periods of time. Even if you successfully save files to a disk, there is a good chance that the disk will fail and become unreadable. This has happened to me 3 times with 3 different drives each copying around 10GB of data over several hours. These drives barely work and are totally unreliable even when they work. I bought these to put photos in for my customers to print photos for themselves and every single one I've given away I've been able to put photos in and see them right away when customers went to her to load it onto their computers, it took ages to load and then nothing showed up. I bought these jump drives because I needed to add videos to them. The video required 6GB so I bought a 16GB video to make room. When they arrived I couldn't download the file. The attached Q&A sheet said I need to reformat a video if I stream it over 4GB. I bought 60 of them. So far I've used 30 and one of the drives has failed. One of them showed a capacity of 124MB instead of 8GB, and formatting didn't help. Also, another drive caused the repair service to corrupt when reconnected to the Windows 7 computer after the first write session (probably a bad sector on the chip). By default, they are formatted in FAT 32, which allows you to transfer files as small as 4 gigabytes or less.
