Works but is noisy for computer accessories and peripherals

I think it's noisy for privacy and security reasons. But that's the most annoying noise. I wonder if someone tried to disconnect the speaker. But it works as advertised and works very well. It is very simple and tested many times

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works for what I bought it for.

A typical cheap Chinese product. But it works. I bought this to reprogram my lightsaber kyber crystals from Savi's workshop in the Disney movie Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Just follow the online instructions and you can change the color and sound profile of your Kyber crystal in seconds. The only complaint about this product is that it has unnecessarily loud audio prompts. Otherwise it just works. Goodbye.

Pros
  • Not only usable for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Something to supplement

Keychains don't write. but one of the included cards did.

No instructions, no manual. I had to fiddle around a bit to figure it out. Key fobs are useless. Three of the five cards that came with it weren't blank, and I couldn't figure out how to overwrite what was already programmed. The cost of replacing a lost card in my organization is $75. so a work card paid for it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

13.56Mhz and Mac users beware

13.56Mhz Like many of you I bought this to duplicate a smart key fob for my apartment which cost me $75 to duplicate would have. After 3.5 hours of trying to get the software to work (read the Mac section below) I finally got the software to work and tried to decrypt but it failed every time. I followed the instructions exactly, changed the order, adjusted the settings, and he just couldn't decipher it. To be honest the site doesn't say it works 100% of the time but since the software that…

works like a charm for the HID card

I haven't tried other card types yet. But my card said HID0009 so I decided to give it a try. This worked great for a contactless HID card. I was worried it wouldn't happen because the description says a bunch of other card types. But all you have to do is point the machine at the correct card (in this case after selecting HID mode) and it will read the number. You then insert one of the blank white cards that come with the kit into the back of the reader. And then press write. It worked with…

Create a gate card in less than 10 seconds.

At first I was skeptical about the purchase. Now that I have it I can tell you it works! With only 1 gate card to our lake house and multiple vehicles, playing "gate card" sucked. There are no written instructions with the device; however, within a minute or two I was ready to master the device.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Doesn't work with my access cards

Basic functionality seems to work fine with the sample cards provided. I was able to easily change the 125kHz tag in my Disney Kyber Crystal. Works great reading my 125kHz HID access card. Reads the provided 13.56MHz round label pattern. However, doesn't read any of my other 3 cards and the Disney Magic Tape (all known to have some sort of RFID to access the building). Tried all different orientations. It seems to be a very limited product.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Incredible and simple RFID tag writer!

I originally bought this solely to reprogram lightsaber crystals from Star Wars Disneyland, but now I use it for work almost every day! I work in an environment where I frequently make and reprogram RFID tags (I work at the front desk of an apartment complex). We make tags for residents of fitness centers, swimming pools and other facilities that we have to allow them to enter through the doors. Our reader and author recently passed away, so I brought that with me. My colleagues and managers…
