Cuts frozen meat: my feedback

I bought this to cut frozen meat up, it will cut a 4 inch round 5lb frozen hamburger tube, not easily but with steady pressure it gets through. My large chef knife blade edge bent cutting frozen meat but this cleaver is super thick and sturdy and I dont think it can be broken by hand. It feels like a hatchet but really sharp, huge metal blade helps to kind of melt thru frozen stuff. It could chop down a small tree.

The meat cleaver is solid and heavy

This meat cleaver is very heavy. I like the solid feel when I hold it. This is definitely not a light weight cleaver knife. I think this cleaver is good for cutting bones or whole chicken. I haven't got chance to chop bones, but I did use it to cut a piece of pork loin. It is very sharp. It cut the pork loin to small pieces effortlessly. This cleaver is also very easy to clean. Overall, I think this is a very good cleaver knife for daily use.

Durable and Sharp good for me

This is my first butcher's knife and I really like it! I have no complaints about the blade itself. It's durable, sharp, and keeps an edge. It's weighted well: it has enough mass to chop through bone yet it's wieldable. I like the touch of the mosaic pin in the handle being one of three mechanical connections in the full tang construction.The only thing wrong about this knife is a minor cosmetic issue with the handle shown in one of the pictures. Substantial Knife for my opinion

I was looking for a cleaver and found this one.this knife seemed to have a good mix of size and weight so I ordered it.The first thing i noticed is that this cleaver really has some heft to it. I love that it will chop anything I put on my board.I also like the handle. It's comfortable and the wood has a nice finish on it. heavy and well made

My husband has been asking for a good cleaver and this one delivered. It is quite heavy and very sharp. It cut through a chuck roast (raw) like it was paper. In fact, he was so excited to have this cleaver that he showed me how sharp it was by cutting through paper when he first got it. This has been a great addition to our kitchen and is used regularly when he is preparing dinner. We store it on a magnetic board and it looks incredible!

Absolutely Perfect!

Solid and pretty on my review.

The first thing that jumped out at me was just how heavy this is. That, coupled with the full-tang and firm handle make this one sturdy knife! I am very pleased with the quality and sharpness of this, especially for the price.

Much Sturdier than expected

We wanted a budget cleaver for butchering a batch of chickens we needed to take care of.This thing could be taken into battle, the blade/tang is made out of 1/4" plate, comes sharp and does the job well.

Gets the job done good for me

The metal is very nice, I took it to the sharpening stone to improve the edge.Cuts very well. I gave it a four star because the revised handle was slightly loosewill have to address that matter.

Sharp and heavy duty

Sharp and heavy duty you will not be disappointed. I bought 2 and they chopped up a whole hog effortlessly. I would definitely recommend these no doubt. I will by more for gifts to give to people I know, and that says a lot if you knew me.

I like the way it feels in the palm of your hand, it has the perfect weight to it. Making it effortless to chopup some steak. Looks and feels durable and very impressed in the balance, sharpness this cleaver has. This will be my new favorite knife!

Nice cleaver: my feedback

Nice heavy cleaver. Very sharp and thick bladed. I use a hammer sometimes to cut though bone and most of my cleaver bend and crack from the beating. This has a nice thick top and should put up with a lot of beating.

I really don’t write reviews much but this cleaver deserves one.You don’t need look any further for a great product. It is heavy and sharp. It is well balanced. It will slice tomatoes or go through bones. It is great for chopping everything.

Well balanced and sharp

This knife, despite it's heft, cuts very thin slices of meat with ease and without tearing. While substantial and fairly heavy, it feels good in my hand because it is so well balanced. Also looks really cool and expensive. I only wish it came with a sheath so I don't have to keep it in the box.
