Accurate and easy to use

I got this model because I always have trouble measuring angles when I want to cut wood (e.g. to cut wood that needs to be lined up at 45 degrees) . This ruler/square is perfect for that. I have shown pictures of how it reads exactly 90 degrees for my rectangular tiles. You can also see that this ruler, when opened in a straight line, measures about 180 degrees. Overall good value for money and accuracy with a few quirks.

I have an old house so the protractor helps a lot with measuring for projects. I saw this relatively inexpensive angle finder and decided to give it a try. First, a spare CR2032 battery is included. That's right, on top of what's already in the sonar, you get additional ones. Wow! The goniometer has an on/off button, but it will automatically wake up and start measuring at the slightest movement of the ruler. I'd rather control when it turns on, but that's no big deal. Five stars for functionality and price.

Many years ago I bought a Mitutoyo manual dial indicator angle finder; This is the dropper of the name. They cost many times that price. I recently bought a pair of LED display digital protractors which seemed to be of decent quality and were about twice the price of this one. They are made entirely of metal.
