For people wondering about its brightness, it puts out about 3000 lux with 1.2 volt EBL batteries (1100 mAh - so they last a long time) and 5000 lux with 1.5 volt AAA batteries. The difference in brightness is not visually perceptible. The non-rechargeable ones will soon drop the voltage down to 1.2V and give out the same brightness. I received the bedside lamps a few days ago and I'm thrilled! Small lanterns came in the form of three pieces in a very nice packaging. I tried one of the lamps in my closet and it worked great. Two brightness modes allow you to choose different brightness levels. I use other lights in the hallway and in the bathroom, they provide lighting for night walks. The motion sensor is sensitive enough to turn on the light when people walk past it. And soft light does not dazzle. Overall I am very happy

These lamps react quickly to movement. The light goes out after a sufficiently short time if no movement is felt. The ability to choose bright or dim light is key to making these superb lights. The dimmer setting of these lights is perfect for night lighting. I had another brand but the brightness so welcome when using it as closet lighting is not suitable in the middle of the night when you just want to find the bathroom. Edit #1 (February 25, 2020): I still can't really comment on the battery life as it's too early. My rating was originally 4 stars because it was sometimes too bright. I changed it to 5 stars because I figured if I can't just toggle it to an even lower brightness, why not just limit the amount of light displayed by blocking some of the light? My main complaint can be both for and against. Once you stick them on a painted wall, they will NOT come off. I've found the problem with these is that after a day or so you realize they need to be moved or aren't working as you initially intended. You can't move them without seriously damaging the wall. At first I tried sliding the butter knife down to avoid damaging it, but that didn't work. I tried several different methods after the first failed attempt and got almost the same results each…
