These flexible couplings (also known as Fernco) are expensive at specialist plumbing dealers. This product was significantly cheaper and just as good. Impressed! I used it to extend an 8" standpipe in my pond.

Like previous customers, I ordered two 1"x1", the matching label says 1"x1", 1.25" ID , which is too much for use on 1" tube I will be returning this item. Visually it was clear that the inner diameter was too large, as soon as I opened the packaging, whoever labeled and packaged it was wrong.

These fittings are part of the ship's holding system. The metal must be rust-free and the parts must be durable. These couplings meet these criteria. Due to the possible movement of the boat, the connections had to be flexible. that's why we chose them. Our new storage tank system works well and we will use a different set when we make the second tank.

You spend time measuring what you're pushing, when it's over, you're pushing it about 1 inch and figure out what it is. . . more. Most people who buy them from Revain are probably do-it-yourselfers and not actual plumbers. Maybe 1" is a naming convention referring to the inside of the thing you're fixing, but that doesn't make sense. Would a simple, accurate description kill it? Not just the title…

The size (1-1/4", 1-1/2", etc.) refers to the inside diameter of the pipe, not the outside diameter. The wall thickness of Schedule 40 PVC pipe significantly increases the overall diameter of the pipe.
