The great value of the internal power pack

. This was the cheapest decent PSU around. Don't skimp on your power supply, but don't overpay for it either, or something in between will work for you. So far so good only had a week on my system but no issues and the build quality is really good and EVG are a great company that back their products with a 10 year guarantee.

Pros
  • is also evident from the sad
Cons
  • old hardware

Unfortunately it was defective, DOA

Have an open deal. I went through the installation, put a new MoBo, the processor in the tower, plugged everything in, tried to turn it on and nothing. Then installed my work PS, worked fine. I had to explain this to the Revain chat rep who ignored what I wrote who then insulted me by saying you were sure you knew what you were doing and essentially had to repeat mine was working fine . I was able to get a refund and they picked up the UPS at my door.

No coil squeaking! - Computer and accessories

This power supply was cheap and works great, passed the 3-day stress test with no problems. Bought 2 Corsair PSUs, both had coil whine and bad coil whine, but this is a bargain, couldn't resist coil whine. I have a 3070 on a 650w model with GA PSU with no issues, knock wood. The modular power supply with cables is black, no ugly mustard stuff. Evga makes solid products evga's second power supply was the first one I passed on to my little brother 5 years ago and it's still powerful and quiet.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Stopped working after 3 months had to pay $20 with 10 year warranty

I assemble computers and normally prefer Corsair but chose EVGA due to Covid stopping Corsair stock availability. One of the two power supplies (650G) I bought stopped working after 3 months. I contacted tech support and received a standard response within 48 hours. After making sure I had already done the appropriate jumper tests, they allowed the RMA. I have opted for prepayment to have the replacement unit shipped first (you pay a deposit equal to the PSU amount) but it still hasn't arrived…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great for me good for computer components

Previously I bought a Corsair that was fried from the moment I got it, it worked right out of the box and honestly was the best overall choice - for one longer warranty . Not only that, the cables that come with the kit are much more flexible, easier to use, and appear to be of better quality. I will probably stay with EVGA from now on. I've never heard the fan turn on so it must be working great. I use this to power a super overclocked 2070 and a RyZen 3800x.

Good value for money! suitable for internal components

The most important thing about a power supply is that it can power your computer without catastrophic failure. *um* gigabytes *um*. Most people think 80+ Gold is a high quality power supply, but it's not *um* gigabytes *um*. The real way to find out is to buy from a brand that you trust and that comes with a good guarantee. I trust EVGA, especially after they were so good at solving an issue with their 3090 cards recently, and this PSU comes with a nice 10 year warranty! The 80+ Gold and fan…

Frustrating for Computer Components

This PSU worked fine for the first seven months or so. Now it seems like the Eco mode isn't working reliably anymore. The fan is supposed to turn on when needed to prevent the device from overheating, but sometimes the PC turns off instead. If I switch the computer on again shortly after the spontaneous shutdown and switch off the eco mode, the fan runs at a very high speed and pushes out a lot of hot air. When I boot the system with Eco mode off, I find the fan to be quite loud. I have a G2…

No coil squeaking!: Internal power supplies

This power supply was cheap and works great, passed the stress test over 3 days without any problems. I was a little scared to buy after reading the reviews but I guess it is. I was very lucky, I bought 2 Corsair power supplies, both had coil whine and bad coil whine, but this one on sale I couldn't resist the lack of coil whine. I have a 3070 on a 650w model with GA power supply, knock on wood no problem. Modular power supply with black cables, no ugly mustard. Evga makes reliable products…

Motherboard cable didn't fit

My son bought this to replace a seasonal G 650 series he was building his PC with which died after 4 months. But in his case (Phantek's Eclipse Steel Mid Tower) it didn't fit at all. The motherboard cable had a thick piece of glue holding the coil in place, making it too thick to fit through the intended holes. Even when we tried cutting up the case to make room, this cable was too short - 5 inches shorter than the dead PSU and 450 it (temporarily) salvaged from the old PC - 17 inches long. As…
