Good concept, very poor execution

I've been on a killing spree lately and all my purchases have been great - until now. As for the sill, the hanger on this hook is very wide - too wide to fit my standard door. I didn't have this problem with my previous purchases. Because the hanger is so wide, the hook dangles when I open and close the door, causing the paintwork on my door to be scratched. Also, I have a hard time imagining how to actually use all three hooks. First, the hooks are very loose and won't stay in place. Also, two

Love the fact that this hook rotates over the door which solves a few issues for me.

This is a great product, especially at this price. I have a few hooks above the door but this is the first one, I have hinges it's a small thing but it's handy. I use this on my basement door which is next to my back door that we use as the main entrance. My basement is also my laundry room, so I walk through that door several times a day.
