Others said they smelled like glue or chemicals. They must have gotten one fresh off the assembly line. The one I received had no odor and I was able to install it straight away. My bearded dragons are very lazy so I haven't seen how he reacts to this but I'm hoping the stiffness will clip his claws. 5 Stars

I love this rug, have bought it several times. I have a hand bred bearded dragon that was trained to a liter from year one and she uses this mat very consistently and THANK GOD. Before this rug I couldn't handle the smell of her poop, it does a great job of minimizing that smell, plus it's easy to cut and throw away when ready to replace with a new square.

Our Beardie is outdated for reptile rugs so we switched to a sand mat. Pretty difficult to keep clean. I spray it and the sand comes off pretty easily, but it's almost impossible to get all the poo off the mat. We have only used it for about 2 weeks and there are already no sand stains from the cleaning attempt. I probably won't buy again for this price.

this product is perfect for my turtle. I use him as bedding because I don't want him eating the wood shavings I use for his regular bedding. I cut a piece and placed it with heat and UV lamps. It's VERY messy but I knew I had bought it before but it was worth it. If you try to scrape it you end up splashing half the sand and rock so it can't be reused, but it's perfect for 'tanning' and food for my small (but fast growing) desert tortoise.

First off I would give Josh's Frogs a 5 star rating for their service. The item came quickly and was well packaged. The sand mat seems to be just what our beard needs, but Exo Terra did not do proper quality control before releasing this product. The carpet smells strongly of chemical glue. If you could give 1/2 stars I would give 3 1/2. It looks really good and feels safer than regular sand. it's not that easy to clean. You can't just wipe it off. I bought two and swap them out about once a week. I have to pick up the garbage as best as I can and then soak the carpet. It is stained, so dark spots remain on it after use. Also, sand and small bits of gravel fall off with every handling, so I know they will become "portable" over time. The dragon is good at walking over it and I…
