All Day Comfort: my feedback

Excellent pair of hikers. All day comfort. I have a wide foot and there is plenty of room in the toe box. That's my feedback!

Pros
  • Love these shoes!
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with a history of foot injuries

Great choice. Glad I got them

Just got them and the fit is perfect. I withheld ordering because of all the reviews that said order a size up BUT a few said, na, order what u normally wear. So I went with my normal outdoor shoe size men's 11. They fit great, have plenty of toe room , slightly loose in the heel (I actually like that) and appear sturdy

Pros
  • Thick soles absorb the impact of the hiking trail for a smooth ride
Cons
  • The shoes may not have a good arch support for people with high arches

Very comfortable - my new review

Targhee II hiking shoes are well made with great support. These are my second pair and I use them every day. For extended or rough ground I would get the mid height but these work wonderfully for fire and hiking trails.

Pros
  • HANDS DOWN, best shoe I have EVER owned. Still comfortable even in their last days.
Cons
  • The shoes may not have enough arch support

Weird sizing: my feedback

The sizing on these Keen shoes is weird. I normally wear a 10.5 med, but the 10.5 in this shoe is too tight, and the 11 slips up and down on my heel when walking. With neither one of them being a comfortable fit, I'm returning both pairs. Too bad, the seem like a very comfortable and supportive shoe otherwise.

Pros
  • 1018119
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis

KEEN shoes are my favorite

I already had gone through two pairs of similar KEEN shoes that lasted for years and wanted to replace them with something as close as possible, so I got this pair. Fit well, was comfortable from the get go, and is very durable.

Pros
  • Hiking Shoes
Cons
  • The laces may be too short for people with high insteps

Squeaks.: my feedback

These shoes look and feel fantastic, after several months I've had no issues.except that one of the shoes occasionally squeaks. I'd probably still purchase another pair but.it's a little disappointing.

Pros
  • Nice shoe but ended up returning.
Cons
  • The color combination may not be appealing to everyone

Heel slides out of shoe

My heel kept slipping out of this shoe- not a good quality in a hiking shoe. Honestly I was surprised- usually Keens are great shoes.

Pros
  • I've just worn these a few times, but they appear to be durable, and fit as expected.
Cons
  • The shoes may not be waterproof

The shoes look great. My son was very excited about them

The shoes look great. My son was very excited about them. He walked a few miles in them the first day so his feet were sore but his last pair he loved and wore them so much that the soles wore off!

Pros
  • My third pair. I like the heel pull on strap better than the others.
Cons
  • The laces may come undone easily

Put your money where it matters.

This is a great shoe. I personally don’t have much use for fashion, I’m getting old enough to simply not care anymore. That said nothing can make or break your day like footwear. Keen’s are worth every penny. Your feet will thank you. ;-)

Pros
  • Ideal for various hiking and outdoor activities
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with nerve pain

Good support but placement relative to arch is where sizing .

a three at this point because still breaking in shoe, and main point - which I had ordered 1/2 size larger. Good support but placement relative to arch is where sizing very important.

Pros
  • Water tight, comfy, i wear them every day and they last 2 years. What more could you want
Cons
  • The shoes may not have enough traction for slippery terrain

Questionable Quality

Haven’t put the shoes on yet. The condition of these shoes when I opened the box has made me question my purchase. The shoes appear to have substandard glue and the stitching appears rather poorly done. Not what expect from Keen for shoes I plan on wearing for over a year. Come on Keen, you can do better!

Pros
  • Fits snugly over the top of the foot to prevent slipping
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with sweaty feet

My husband loves these shoes!

This is his third pair of Keen men's shoes and he loves them. They hold up for a long time and give the support he nreeds. The shoes may not be flexible enough for some customers.

Pros
  • Very satisfied with this purchase
Cons
  • The shoes may not be flexible enough for some customers

Great Experience. good for me

Keen makes the best shoes ever. My last pair of similar Keen shoes lasted me 10 years of hard, and comfortable use. These are very nice, well made, and worth the money. I am hoping to get 10 years out of these.

Pros
  • Perfectly contours to your feet for a comfortable fit
Cons
  • The shoes may not be breathable enough for humid environments

Don't order 1/2 size smaller

Keen boots are a favorite because they have a roomy toe box. the ad said order 1/2 size bigger so I ordered an 11 when I usually order a 10 1/2. The shoe is usable but rather loose. They may be OK in cold weather with heavy wool socks. I live in VT and we do get very cold winters. However I may just exchange them for the right size?

Pros
  • Flexible design allows for easy movement during long hikes
Cons
  • The shoes may be too stiff for comfortable movement

These shoes are great they just run about 1/2 size or so small .

These shoes are great they just run about 1/2 size or so small so I usually get 11 to compensate .in part with other shoe manufacturers really. Where they beat all other shoe manufacturers is in longevity. I purchased a pair 2.5 years ago and just needed to replace them this last week . actually they still have tread and are functional they just got ratty looking after 2.5 years of abuse. Great shoes well worth the investment. The only drawback is they do have a somewhat harsh break-in period…

Pros
  • Best fitting shoe I've worn in a long time. Highly recommend.
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with low insteps

One of the best shoes I've ever had.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I wore the first pair every day from mid October to mid April for three seasons and loved them. This includes shoveling the driveway in the winter and just every day use. They ALWAYS stay warm and dry! They fit so well that when I'm in the house and I take them off, I realize my feet felt better with them on than bare footed. They are worth every penny! The fit was as expected because I tried a pair on at a REI store but they wanted way more money. My feet…

Pros
  • Lightweight design ensures easy mobility during hikes
Cons
  • The shoes may have a strange odor when new

Excellent! - my new review

Wow! Keen never disappoints. The Targhee II is a rugged hiking shoe with lots of grip, a wide footprint, and excellent build quality.

Pros
  • Cushioned footbed provides additional comfort during longer hikes
Cons
  • The shoes may not provide enough warmth for winter hiking

Great hiking shoes good for me

I owned a pair of Keen Alamosa WP hiking shoes which were awesome. But Keen have stopped making them so I bought these. The Alamosas were half a size bigger than I normally buy and fitted perfectly so I thought these might be the same. They are not.hence they are just a bit roomy on me.But great shoes

Pros
  • Very comfortable shoes, large toe box, might run just a bit small.
Cons
  • The shoes may not be stylish enough for some customers
