After a recent trip to NYC where the beds were outfitted with weighted blankets , my husband kept commenting on how much better he slept (attributing it to the blanket). My son and I took note and gifted him this beautiful, rich blue velvet blanket for Xmas. We all love it- and it does seem to make for a more restful and comforting sleep.

Pros: - I love this blanket so much! - It's really soft on both sides. - It's not lumpy, I have to purposely pinch it to feel the individual glass beads. - The weight distribution is very even. - I'm a warm sleeper, but haven't had any temperature issues with it. I love this blanket! I have had insomnia so bad that not even prescription sleeping medication worked. With this blanket I sleep so much better.The one problem with it is that it said that it fits a Queen bed, I only have a double and it doesn’t completely cover the bad. Otherwise it’s fantastic!

I bought two of them but returned one because the 50 pounds was too much for me. My son weights 325 and sleeps like an oversized baby with his. I will order a lighter weight for me.

I gave this blanket a try. The product was very nice and well made, no complaints about it. The fabric is soft and of good quality. Here is the thing about weighted blankets. they are not for everyone. You would have to like the feeling of constant pressure on your body and being cocooned like a baby in a swaddle. We didnt know what to expect from a weighted blanket but now we dont know how we lived without it. We use it year round, warm enough in the winter and cool enough in the summer. Improved sleep - its quiet and comfortable. We're just worried about running it through our washer as its very heavy which will only increase when wet.

Have Queen sized bed. Wasn’t expecting this to be like a bedspread but it definitely didn’t look 60x80. I’m only 63” so immediately knew something was off. Measured with measuring tape. I was right. It’s about 55x73. Big difference from 60x 80. The blanket was made well, soft and great color. The recipient was concerned that the weight might cause harm to her washing machine when wet.

This has no beads in it, which is a very good thing. There’s also no internal ties. It’s just a heavy blanket. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are going from a queen to a king, or similar, you need a heavier blanket, or it will not feel as heavy. Seems obvious in retrospect, but a larger blanket, when covering more area, feels lighter on your body. We adjusted and it’s still fantastic. I’ll buy a heavier one in a couple years.

When I purchased this blanket, I was expecting one side to be cool and the other side to be warm. We usually keep our bedroom on the cooler side but since it was still fall, I tried the cool side of the blanket first. I was so hot all night long that it kept waking me up. I had a twin sized weighted blanket but I have a queen sized bed so when I got this one it was like heaven. I bought this weighted blanket for my queen bed but I should have went with a bigger size since it is a little too small. But still worth it. My husband has anxiety issues and ever since I bought it he has slept better. So definitely consider it if you have anxiety issues.
