Works great using the special CAT6 cable

I was able to connect the TX module to the secondary video port on the server video adapter card. I had to try both ports for the system to recognize the module. The server then recognizes this as an HDMI display. I set it up as a dual display using an existing HDMI monitor. I did not use the local HDMI output on the TX module. On the RX module I connected it to my KVM and a dedicated CAT6 cable. The system is very responsive, no lags. I am very satisfied with this product and it is good valueโ€ฆ

Pros
  • APPLICATIONS: Wiring diagram for a stable signal. Suitable for home security system, camera surveillance, conference room transmission, restaurant projection and more.
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

Poor picture quality and faulty USB

Overall this is a good product if you are using an ethernet cable that is less than 15 feet long. I needed an extension of about 75 feet, which this unit should have no problem with. However, excessive lag when using the mouse combined with red pixels on the screen renders it unusable.

Pros
  • HDMI OVER ETHERNET: Transmits up to 45m/147ft over Cat6/7 cable, 40m/130ft over Cat5e cable. For better audio and video quality and longer transmission distance, we recommend Cat6 or Cat7.

Two different models, not the same!

Note the image in the gallery marked "They have the same function" - this is an indication that you can get one of two different models. And while they look very similar and essentially do the same job, they are NOT the same. I know this because I ordered two and got one of each. One of them has a switch to select a 30m or 50m ethernet route - and it really makes a difference. But it required zero tuning. The other model does not have this switch and has an "EDID" button that requires a directโ€ฆ

Pros
  • EASY CONNECTION: Wired power supply, only one power adapter is required for full operation.
Cons
  • Weak sentence

Make sure you use a good HDMI cable - the cheap one took me an hour!

I've spent an hour trying to get this extension to work but to no avail. Finally I decided to change the HDMI between my computer and the transmitter module. After I connected the new cable, it worked beautifully. The old HDMI cable works great between my computer and my monitor, it's not dead but something about it makes their transmitter unhappy. With a new HDMI cable, this unit worked GREAT. Allows me to send 1080p video from my computer to the TV over a 100ft Cat7 cable. It also transmitsโ€ฆ

Works great with dedicated CAT6 cable

I was able to connect the TX module to the extra video port on the server video card. I am very satisfied with this product and the price-performance ratioโ€ฆ
