I bought these to replace the city provided biowaste bins but they are too small to open. If I'm not careful, they tear when I try to stretch them, and they keep getting poked with bits of food, resulting in a leak almost every time. My previous brand never did that. You're just too skinny. I will not buy again.

I have two comments about these bags. At first they seemed too small for my compost heap, although I did measure the size. However, the bags seem to stretch when you start putting waste in them, so eventually there will be enough of them. Another observation is that liquid seems to seep through my pockets as the inside of my container is usually damp when I take the bag out. No big deal, I just rinse it out before putting it in a new bag. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

I originally bought these to use in a countertop bin to store leftovers before taking them outside to the compost heap and tossing it all out in the hopes they'll break quickly. I would say they are biodegradable but not compostable. After a few weeks they are still completely intact on the pile, which I wouldn't necessarily call bad, just not what I was looking for. If you're looking for an alternative plastic bag that will last you weeks before you throw it away, then this is perfect for you!
