Lugs no thanks

We were told that our quartz countertops would require 4 or 5 lugs to support the ledge. I'm not a big fan of lasts, they go on your knees. I found these brackets at Revain and they completely solved the problem. The overhang is supported, but without awkward protrusions. But instructions would be helpful.

Pros
  • Almost invisible once installed
Cons
  • Pedestal required

Good braces. Good price. take action.

Great price. I used a couple of these under a canopy of a quartz batten. I took the old countertop off, cut a few shallow grooves in the sheet of wood covering the knee wall so they were flush with the countertop, glued and screwed them in place. Big. I chiseled the edges to soften and blend the look and painted the underside of the stone with flat black enamel. Not necessarily, but the floor is visible to people sitting on my couch, so I wanted it to disappear a bit. A router would be nice but

Pros
  • Holes for countersunk screws
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Good quality but must include hardware.

Although they are expensive I can't fault the quality or strength of these staples. They are excellent, I tested the counter well and it can support my 210lb body without flexing, enough for my breakfast bar. Note that I have 4 of these spaced 10" apart and supporting a hardwood post. However, fasteners to secure them are a little harder to find. Because they beveled the countersunk holes of the heads you would expect the heads to sit flush, but unless you can find the perfect hardware for…

Pros

Cons
  • Available in white only
