Bad instructions

Fairly easy replacement but absolutely useless after-sales service, poor instructions. Product ads don't help to figure out what you have and then make recommendations for choosing the right product. Fixed leaks and little flow from the faucet. Experience leaves no respect for Delta products. Will choose a different faucet in the future.

  • Sturdy design

  • There are disadvantages

Genuine parts are important

This is an exact match and function. I installed a fake a few years ago and it never looked like the real thing. This allows the water to bypass the shower head when squeezed and just run down the tub drain. The fake version was simply inserted and not released when the shower was turned off. This is a genuine Delta bypass valve and it works perfectly. Allows the shower head to be fully pressurized without water loss and slides back out when the shower valve is turned off.

  • GOLS certified

Doesn't stop drips completely

We have two showers with the same 1993 Delta shower/bathtub faucet and this Delta part fits perfectly. It gets three stars because it doesn't completely prevent water from dripping down. out of the tub spout so you don't get all the water pressure you would have if it were completely off. When I broke one of the blocks trying to remove it to replace the gaskets, we noticed how poorly constructed it was (copper tubing area). We've since replaced one unit with Pfister's Ladera, which is much…

Delta Diverter Valve OEM

Just what you need to replace a worn push button switch on your Delta shower faucet system. Mine was over 20 years old and never changed, but it started to stick. I watched a few videos before starting this job as it was relatively easy and you don't have to turn off the water. I didn't know how heavy it was going to be, so I sprayed my trusty Deep Creep on it and waited thirty minutes for it to sink in. A 7/8 deep hex socket and 1/2 ratchet was used for removal and replacement. Everything is…

Easy to install and works well

I followed the instructions on UTube and used a long 7mm socket to remove and replace the diverter. I didn't use teflon tape and relied on the o-ring on the switch. The biggest (minor) problem I had was keeping the foam ring in place in the panel when I reattached it. When replacing the plate screws, be careful not to overtighten. The divertor was used a few times before completely blocking the flow of water from the nozzle. As recommended on YouTube, I didn't have to turn off the water for…

Fits perfectly. - Faucet Parts

My original push button switch (spring and all) was blown out of my assembly and water was leaking out of the hole. The hardest part about replacing it was getting the screws out of the wall, which were probably there before I was born. After the cover was removed it turned out that installing a 7/8 outlet around the old switch would be difficult due to the wall in the shower getting in the way. I made the executive decision to chop off a piece of the wall. Once that was done the 7/8 head fit…

Great part, easy repair!

If you know "Left-handers loose, right-handers tight", then you can carry out this repair. If you have the right tools on hand, a Philips screwdriver, 7/8 socket, tweezers or thin needle nose pliers and some tape, the repair can be done in literally 5 minutes. My old divertor broke the cotter pin securing the knob on the rudder and the rod flew into the tub. If I had known I could have just replaced that cotter pin, but this was easier. Simply remove the faucet handle and chrome trim. I didn't…
