Good cheap replacement parts

Thank goodness I found it. All other head bolt kits are over $100. Used them on 92 Jeep 4.0. Just put the larger screws second in the rim on each side.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • No power

The factory manual (FSM) recommends that the cap screws .

The factory manual (FSM) recommends using head screws only once! How do you know if they have changed before? Why risk a broken head bolt? These high quality 1991 Jeep 4.0 Series 6 Head Bolts give you a sense of security you can't get by reusing old head bolts. Inexpensive bolt breakage insurance.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Repair

Good fit, poor material NOT recommended

Finally got around to replacing the cylinder head with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L. Tightening and turning as needed, I get to a bolt and the torque wrench can't click, so I reset my wrench and try again, firing to 110 while the bolt was still turning, but before it could click, the bolt broke. I'm just glad it didn't get stuck in my block when those screws cost me a lot more money! I do NOT recommend this.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great functional bolts but read my warning

Fits my 1989 XJ Cherokee 4.0 Inline 6, cost much less than "OEM" bolts. 12 points instead of Allen, but that's the only difference, a socket wrench is required. I recommend placing 2 smaller screws with a protruding nipple at the top of the middle areas, not the ends; After tightening I had to awkwardly cut off the top of one with a dremel as the valve cover couldn't sit in place. Other than that, my engine is fine and revs without any weirdness or notches.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • New Competitors

good in a pinch; I would have preferred improved hex heads.

My YJ 4.0 had 2 pins too many. at least they didn't match what PO put on the vehicle) and have 12 point heads (or whatever) prone to stripping. So that's a lower version of the hex heads that I removed. You will also need a special outlet for installation. I had to change them quickly to replace the head gasket on a specific day, so I got them. They seem to have got the job done, but I reused 2 old cylinder head bolts under the valve cover. I'm afraid it might not be as stable after removing…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some difficulties
