Fellowes Carbon Filters AeraMax Purifiers Review

This filter was recommended for purchase with the AeraMax 100, so I bought the air purifier and filters together. Filters do not match the purchased model. It looks like the correct filter is now being advertised with the AeraMax 100. Unfortunately I didn't realize they were the wrong size until it was too late to return them so I lost $25.56. The filters may work well but I can't rate it so I can't give it a single star other than value for money.

Perfect fit for the Aeromax 300. To be added. I have had this air purifier for 3 years now. Filter never changed. I always waited for the light to come on. Never done. I checked the HEPA filter several times and it was very clean. The last thing I checked was the carbon filter. Totally stuck. That's why HEPA was so pure. No dirt has ever reached him. Basically it worked as a fan. Nice breeze. Surprised the air filter didn't break. Good air purifier but the filter light doesn't work.

The filter is good for what it is. I wish they could be washed/cleaned. My neighbors let me use my air purifier 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so I have to change it more often than I'd like. As a side note, whoever shipped my filter packs the last few times I've ordered didn't bother to tape the boxes. They come OPEN at both ends. Even after I asked them to put it in a Revain package. About 9 months after the purchase I start my last filter change in the 4-pack. The last filter was a bit cut off and I have a feeling my HEPA filter might get damaged if I keep using it until the next replacement bulb comes on. So my 4 packs become 3 packs but for the price I paid it was still a bargain at the actual $3 per filter. Since the price has gone up (now $5 for a filter) I will give another aftermarket brand. I don't like smelly rooms. I don't want them to smell like anything, or like a nice fabric softener or a citrus scent. With these charcoal filters, I can keep the room I leave closed (to keep mosquitoes out) 95 percent smelling like nothing but fresh air. These Aeramax 300 air purifier carbon filters are around $36 at the time of writing but are pricey but you get a 4 pack for the money - $8 each Piece.
