Description of πŸ”Œ 2-Pack Female Ceramic Socket Plug Kit with Terminals for 7-Inch Round H4 Headlight Lamps (Yellow)

2 pcs premium high temperature ceramic H4 type headlight plug socket kit w/ terminals and a protective silicone rubber boot. This is socket is great for high temp bulbs like xenon lights, HID, and other high output bulbs. This ceramic connector can easily withstand up to 300Β°C or 572Β°F!. This connector is designed for 12V-16V applications. It will fit most H4 type applications such as H4, HB2 or 9003 type bulbs as well as standard and halogen 7 inch round head lamps like the H6024 found on most cars before the 1980s. The terminals can accommodate 16-12ga wires with ease.

Absolutely unusable

The plugs supplied are not only of very poor quality, but also do not hold the cables. Throw her out after I pull the wire the fourth time. Incredibly annoying. The connectors also have plenty of room to move in a very fragile ceramic case, making it difficult to connect.

Exactly what I wanted for my project.

I installed a new headlight harness on my '67 Mustang. I wanted a "plug and play" wiring harness that included a relay to bypass the flimsy wiring that Ford installed in the car. These outlets worked great as I was able to run 12 gauge wire to power the headlights.

Ceramic connectors in electrical engineering

High-quality ceramics. Good fit, but try not to use any gauge of wire other than those listed. Also, do not slide the plastic cover over the ceramic base until you are done. It fits snugly (which is good) so it doesn't come off easily. Metal connectors are ok; I would have preferred a stronger metal.

Pros
  • Lighting and electrical engineering
Cons
  • Low-maintenance

Just buy them as accessories

It was very easy to install. I ended up cutting off the original ends, keeping them and using them for the high beam on a 1986 Sierra Classic truck. This saved me from modifying the original connector and allowing the top spade to be in the connector but not used as it only requires two wires to work. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend them to anyone converting to LED lights in their classic trucks.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Good but not great

Simple product but well made and functional

This is a good product. Don't forget to cover the wires with a hard rubber/plastic cover before crimping the connectors! I blew it out on this one but was still able to get it to work by cutting off the back of the boot to allow the bushings to go through. I decided to crimp and then solder so nothing fell apart. Bare sockets can be a bit thicker so they don't bend where the wire connects to them, but once they snap into the ceramic plug, that's not a problem. Recommend to anyone who needs to…
