I must have received defective strips. I cleaned the rails with acetone. I dried them and then tried to apply them. They've already fallen off and I can't return them.

That's a great price. It works just like the original and the price allows me to buy more than I need next time the blade gets damaged, which will eventually happen.

Everything corresponds to the description. The exchange was easy, but you should have acetone on hand to remove any adhesive residue. Pay attention to the structure of the box and the cryptic opening instructions, as this will help you install the new instructions.

Glue fails after a short time and the band moves very little, reducing the accuracy of the crawler saw. I've also noticed that the price has gone up 23% since the last time I bought a roll. Inflation during this period was only 6%. Not satisfied with Festool in this accessory.

The old splinter guard ripped off on both ends of my rails. It's time for a new strip. Be sure to clean the aluminum rails thoroughly with paint thinner and water before installing new fins. The box was enough to replace all three of my rails.

BUY Easy. If you used your own rail you would ruin the splinterguard the moment you put the saw on it. first time. You'd be like, "Oh man, I'd love to do that again." It's awesome. I use my rails extensively and this has greatly improved the quality of my saws. It's a nice big reel too, so you get replacements a few months/years in advance. Tip: make sure you clean up the old stuff and glue with acetone!

I was amazed at the other reviews that said the protective case had come off. With that in mind I ordered the worst and was pleasantly rewarded. I set up guards on two rails and made sure the receiving area was fully prepared like I was about to undergo open heart surgery. I used paint thinner as I didn't have naphtha on hand (thinner was provided in the kit). After a few weeks of active use, they're stuck and don't move at all. I don't leave my fences in a hot truck or in harsh environments…

I have had a Festool saw for 15 years. The saw is excellent; I wouldn't be without him. The original splinter guards were indestructible. I recently needed new ones for my three splints. I bought this product twice, I used only mechanical means to remove the old shields (very laborious I will say) and installed this shield on a clean surface. I had problems with the first roll.
