Terrible fire block paint, avoid

According to my experience, this paint did not work as advertised and failed to prevent a fire from spreading. The only positive aspect is that it is easy to apply .The biggest downside is the fact that IT is not effective and could be dangerous in an emergency situation. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for reliable fire protection. As someone who values Tools and Home Improvement I am extremely disappointed with this product..

Pros
  • Provides non-combustible fire protection for residential buildings.
Cons
  • The cost may be higher compared to other non-fire block painting supplies and wall treatments.

Cheaper alternative to 3M brand

Used to stop a fire blocking our basement walls. It dries fairly quickly and becomes hard after drying. About half the price of the 3M brand and passed the city inspection.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Expensive
