Phone calls and voice assistant are heavily distorted - music/podcast/video playback sounds great

Overall I really like this bluetooth receiver for my car. However, there is a problem with its main function; Phone call and voice assistant features. My voice coming from the person on the other end of the call is fine, but his voice coming out of my speakers was horribly distorted at any volume. The same distortion occurred when I tried to use my voice assistant (Siri). Alerts and Siri voice feedback were distorted, as were phone calls. I tried turning down the speaker and phone volume andโ€ฆ

UPDATE 2: If you want to get the full bass out of your music, buy this product. [cm. update2]

Well, it started well. Bluetooth connected immediately. Everything worked as expected. The big unforgivable problem that makes me return this item is that it completely removes all bass from your music. When I plug my phone directly into the car's AUX I have the expected amount of bass, when I stream music, same music, through this device and into my car's AUX in Porto all the bass disappears. It doesn't matter if I turn on all the bass in the car or the bass on my phone, there's just no bassโ€ฆ

Bluetooth blues solved with Fire Fly chat device

My Car: 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Sedan. I have an audio head labeled BMW Professional. These are junior systems. 6 speakers and 2 subs. No Tweeters Above the Side Mirrors Of course, you can't stream music from your phone via Bluetooth in a 2011 328i xDrive sedan, but you can use your phone. That annoyed me for a while. I've learned what to do to get what I need with my music and streaming. As you may know, the 2011 328i sedan has the Aux-In and USB jacks side by side on the center console. Iโ€ฆ

PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK IN COLD WEATHER

This is a great product for those who drive cars that do not support bluetooth connectivity. I drive a 2009 Ford Escape that doesn't have Bluetooth and I wanted a device that would help keep the cords from cluttering up. The product looks crisp, is small and delivers excellent sound quality. However, I encountered two downsides when using the Firefly chat. The first downside is that when my phone is plugged in and no music is playing, there is a high-pitched tone that can be very distractingโ€ฆ

Update: This is gambling

****Update 11/5/19**** I've had two of these firefly chats. One (red) worked with no problems. I ordered black and it was very uncomfortable. About 1/3 of the time I get in the car it "connects" to my iPhone but music/podcasts/calls still play as if through my phone. After trying everything in the book (including removing all Bluetooth devices and following all of Tunai's troubleshooting instructions), I emailed them to claim my warranty. phone is to blame. For the record, I use a lot ofโ€ฆ
