They latch and clamp

The latch on them will drive you crazy. The clasp keeps slipping off, which is beyond annoying when taking off the buds and needs to be readjusted every few minutes. This is not an isolated case; I had this problem with this type of lock before. I took the lock off and then they pinched my fingers. I threw them away and ordered some with no clasps except for a thong at the bottom to fasten when needed.

  • Very good value

What happened to Fiskars?

I wish I could drop my original 5 star rating. Fiskars has been my choice for scissors, clippers and other cutting equipment for many years. But I am very disappointed in these. I've only used them a few times and the blades are thin and already slightly warped. Although they're rough, they can still be used, but they're definitely not the precision product that's always drawn me to Fiskars. I will try another brand next time.

Pros
  • Durable finish

Excellent trimmers for buds

Excellent trimmers! They are nice and sharp with a smooth cut. They have a good grip, very strong for precise cuts. The blades are the best! With my old trimmers, I often had to stop to clean the blades and remove any sticky residue. With this amazing new pair which I highly recommend even after half an hour or more of cutting it doesn't leave a lot of sticky residue and anything on it wipes off easily! I am very happy with my purchase!

Super happy snip-snip

Excellent scissors for fine work. It seems that many of them are targeting new legal market producers. I know for sure they are great for this, but I buy them for trimming orchids. They are great for cutting roots and trimming small flowering shoots. When I decided to completely prune the large head of one of my large orchids, I found that it was not strong enough for this type of pruning. They are great for trimming flowers and leaves, in addition, they begin to fight. If you buy it with an…

High quality: garden and lawn care

I really like these nozzles, I use them every day in the summer. They give a nice clean cut and don't break the stem, even flowers with thicker and woodier stems get a clean cut. I originally ordered them to pinch my roses, which a pinch my nails can't do, but I've used them on all my flowers since. I can trim stalks to pencil thickness and thinner. If it's thicker, you risk damaging the blades, which hold up exceptionally well. This is the second pair I've ordered and the first pair are still…

The best trimmers for Sticky Wicky!

This trimmer model (Fiskars 399241-1002 Micro-Tip Snips, Anti-Stip Blades 2 Pack Orange) is extremely sharp, perfectly sized and very comfortable to hold. Ergonomically correct size and shape particularly suitable for large hands. Curved grips are critical for comfort, precise control and precision. The short, narrow micro blade has a smooth black non-stick coating that makes cleaning quick and easy. In my opinion, these trimmers are ideal for professional, precise and accurate trimming of…

"Non-Stick " is a passing quality

When I first used these "Non-Stick" pruning shears I was impressed by their ability not to stick together as quickly as the standard Fiskars stainless steel shears. does. However, this did not last long. Once they start sticking together, they quickly become difficult to handle. Luckily I bought 2 packs so I just grabbed the unused scissors and left. Again, they worked fine at first, but then they stuck together and became almost unusable. This is where the real trouble started. To use them…
