My corals love it!

Moving to Colorado, winter can get a bit chilly. The heat it gives off is very gentle and doesn't spread far but I feel very safe using it on my birds most of the day and night. I put it over the perch and they spend a lot of time underneath. The lamp bulb and the body itself are warm to the touch but not that hot, so I'm comfortable leaving them on their cage when they're outside and they don't hurt themselves if they decide to close it touch.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Updates available

1 bulb lasted 1 year, 1 bulb lasted 1 week 3 days!

I would give 5 stars, but. I ordered 2 of these lamps (11/2017), I used up one bulb right away. I saved the other lightbulb so if the lightbulb I'm using burns out I can immediately use an extra one. The first bulb finally burned out after 1 year (continuous use). So I put in a second bulb and that second bulb lasted 1 week 3 days. I would like to send them back, but ordered them in November 2017. So 1 bulb lasted 1 year and 1 bulb lasted just over 1 week!

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Brief instructions

Not sure I will buy again

Bought on 20th February 2019 and today 27th March 2019 I have to order a new one. This is the first one I've bought and it was working fine until 3 days ago and I've noticed temperature differences and woke up this morning because it wasn't working. I will be ordering another one from this company to see how long it lasts and that will determine if I buy from here again. 25,000 hours is a long time and I don't expect it, but I do expect a lightbulb to be used for several months.

Pros
  • Best in my niche
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great product, my bearded dragon loves to sleep at night.

My bearded dragon enjoys his night's sleep MUCH more thanks to this heater. I'm so glad I got her this. As soon as I turn off her lightbulb for this she closes her eyes and realizes it's time for bed lol! I didn't buy a second dome, I just switch back and forth between its light and this radiant heater every night and morning. I use a towel to unscrew it (use care because it's 100 degrees Fahrenheit!). It's amazing that she still gets warm and sleeps well at night.

Works very well. My husband and I use it for our hedgehog and we love it. Please note that depending on where you live and weather conditions, you need to pay attention to how much lamp power to use. We live in the North West and currently use a Fluker 150w Ceramic Reptile Heater. The cell can heat up to 80-85 degrees. We don't keep it all the time simply because our hedgehog prefers temperatures around 75-80. Depending on the weather, location, and pet preference will depend on the wattage of…

It's getting so hot! It doesn't emit any light at all. Be sure to use a special cap or wire holder to insert. It cannot penetrate a normal dome. I found that any hanging hoods wouldn't work with this, but I still wanted these to hang over my tank (as opposed to indoors or directly on the web). I ended up buying a wide hatch (for chicks) with a ceramic plate (the lamp gets very hot and needs ceramic). But the catch was that this type of hood only came with a clip that had to be attached to the…
