Very easy to set up, great customer service.

This is a very attractive little suitcase that makes the most of the limited space it takes up. Inside you have room for three 2.5" drives or two 3.5" drives and two 5.25" drives. The bottom 5.25" bay has an adapter for 3.5" and 2.5" drives. If you only have 3.5-inch drives, the Core 1000 supports three of them out of the box. Installing a Micro-ATX motherboard requires hard compression, but it won't damage your motherboard in the process. " to "very good" with some creativity and a few zip…

Good minimalist case suitable for external components

I like the look of this case and the airflow is really good if you fill all the fan slots - my system stays at around 40 degrees in standby and nothing did not exceed 70 °C under full load. The components are quiet in this case and it's a great form factor. The only thing that bothers me in this case is the lack of cable management options and the fact that my mATX motherboard was absolutely impossible to put on stands as the corner of the top HDD tray hardly gets in the way, which also makes…

Best deal for $$$

LOVE Fractal Design Cases. We build a lot of computers and have reviewed over 100 of these gems. On the rare occasion that there was a problem with the case, FD support was absolutely amazing, working through the night to keep downtime to a minimum. Out of over 100 cases we've used, we've only had a problem with one. folks, that's good! My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that the front audio/USB ports are on the side of the case, not the front. This caused several problems when…

Great on the budget - computer components

If you are looking for a lightweight case that is good value and isn't the size of a car, this is a good choice. I've used it on over a dozen custom PCs in my office and it gets the job done. However, this is a cheap case. In a few cases the tolerances were violated and I found it very difficult to remove the side panels. Removing the front drive bay cover is a pain (literally - I cut myself trying). And in one case, the wires from the power button were slightly loose, causing the PC not to…

Should have gotten 1300.

I am using this to build an HTPC. and it was very easy to fit into my mATX MB. The design and layout is simple and smart. The minimalist approach caught my attention. He is invisible. I know this is an entry-level case and it fits well, but it wasn't quite as quiet. I swapped out the fans and soundproofed the inside of the side panels and it immediately went quieter. so so. The side panels do not fit well on either side. NO WIRES. I take a full size PSU and that's a plus for cost savings, but…

Noisy fans, a pain in the back to set up, but airflow is great.

Well, the case does what it's supposed to - holds all of our components, cools the components, but . I don't know, it feels like in this case Fractal Design tried a bunch of new concepts (like side mounted hard drives) and didn't think it through (like the lack of good cable management). for the specified disks). If you do take the case, do yourself a favor and swap out the case fans, even if they are very noisy. However, given the good thermal performance of my setup, I just turned them off.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Safety

Set up our entire office on these occasions, here are my thoughts.

Firstly I don't see that I bought this case as the ones I bought from Revain are an older variant which only supports USB2. The new version is USB 3 and wasn't available from Revain when I got mine so they were bought from this egg store. Anyway I have about 12 old versions of USB 2 and about 18 of this version. Anyway I've now used both versions of this case, I've built about 30 new machines for my office with this case and overall I'm very happy with this case. There are some minor issues and

reasonable body and good features for economical assembly

I really like the minimal approach to this case. It's simple and doesn't try to advertise. This is a box. As with many, the metal is thin so do not overtighten. On the side are the power button and external ports, which are usually on the front. This improves the look but can be awkward to access. The blue light of power thinks it must be the sun; it is much brighter than necessary. You wouldn't want that in the front. Dual detachable sides and reasonably good cable management. Filtered…
