💡 F106SX: Next-Gen Fumoto Valve featuring 14mm-1.5 Thread Size Review

Got this on my 10 year old Honda Ridgeline and it's great. Easy installation and leak-free reliability for months. Extremely easy to use, no need to get your hands dirty with oil or change crush washers. The only advice is to use an OEM washer and torque it to the OEM torque specs on the oil pan drain plug.

How many reviews can you read where someone says they can't wait for their next oil change. The new Rams' crossbar, or rather EcoDiesel (I can't vouch for Hemi), interferes with the oil drain. As you can see from the first picture, it made A LOT! I'm sure Fumoto will get the job done faster and less messy the next time you exchange! I'll update this review then, but for now. 5 Stars!

Used 3 other fumoto valves on other vehicles for several years. Once you get used to the slow descent you'll be fine (now I just start the descent first and use that time to gather the rest of the stuff I need). Used this new valve on a (new to me) 2013 Honda Odyssey. I was concerned it would hang low, but placing it at an angle worked well. I have not yet drained the oil through a new design, if there are problems I will decide.

I didn't have an o-ring attached to the oil pan. It's fine, just ask Fumoto to replace it. The rude "support" took 9 shaky emails before admitting they do nothing but send PDF links and if there is something wrong with the fumoto valve even a 1 cent O is missing -Ring to return his Revain because it doesn't cost money to endorse his product. Very disappointed. Now I have to return it and wait a month for Revain to send a replacement.

The drain valve saves time instead of fiddling with a drain plug and a new washer. This F106FX valve is the only one that will work on a 2017 Honda CR-V or Civic with a 1.5L turbo. The manufacturer falsely claims that other valve models will work, but will not unclog around the oil pan even with an extension adapter. I've installed Fumoto dump valves on other cars and SUVs; They are well made, glitch free, easy to install and use.

Installed on my Mercedes C450 with M276 engine. I angled it so that it was pointing down at an angle, but still 1/2 inch higher than the protective metal brace in front of it. The metal frame next to it is at the same level as the drain valve. When the plastic skid plate is put back on the valve it will be 2 inches, maybe more. Love the new style of these fumoto drain plugs. This SX series allows you to position the drain however you desire for your application as the drain can be rotated 360 degrees around the plug post. Outback for more than 3 years, drives hard. Changing the oil with them is very easy, no tools are needed (to drain the oil anyway. You still have to remove the oil filter). , but that's because the same amount of used oil has to come out of a smaller hole. But there's no mess, no hot oil running down

I bought this Fumoto Oil Drain Valve (F106SX, M14-1.5) for my late 2018 Mazda3 (Touring Hatchback, 2.5L SkyActiv engine) and I have to say , it fits great! No adapter required. For reference, the fumoto diagram says to tighten it to 18 ft.lbs (which I did). To install (after all old oil has been drained) carefully clean the oil pan around the drain plug and ENSURE there is no old washer on it. I've been changing the oil in my cars for over 20 years. I installed a Fumoto drain on my 2010 Silverado last year. Conclusion: I like it, but it could be better. building at height.
